Seen this earlier. Today. Cool how fast things travel across the internet.

But not as cool as the video itself.

Which in turn is not as cool as the science.

We decided to prune back the number of forums, and the ones that were redundant were merged into each other.

SS and HT were essentially tethered apart to create two new forums back in the day when the spiritualists wanted an area that wasn't secular. (read: to escape the atheists)

IMO.... separating science, spirituality and all the areas of gnosis and combinations in between are never going to get closer to understanding each other and working together (read: at least hearing each other out) if they are kept apart.

So, to reflect that the two forums were combined.

Higher Thoughts is no longer just for the 'secular' or the 'scientific'....
It is now an area to discuss meaning and mystery in life.

It's my hope that the description will be changed to reflect this inclusiveness as well.

to my understanding(im sure someone will correct or add to this), when you supercool a material there is no longer a magnetic field within the material, it is only on the surfaces. similiar to how electrical conductors have no electric field within, only along the surfaces of the conductor.

somehow this allows the object to be locked in place when in a strong magnetic field. im assuming its because the forces on each surface are cancelling one another, and somehow overcoming gravity.

superconductance is a very cool field.
