Negative Energy/ Places

I don't know if this should be here or where..

This is about a house. A house that had a lot of chaos in the past.. Violence, misery etc..I don't know what else because it's almost 100 years old. All I know is when I'm in it there is this suffocating weight..tension when you walk through the door.

I can go out.. Socialist with people and be a completely different person.
Light.. It's weird.. My kids are the same.
As soon as we get back.. It's almost immediate sometimes.
We can go from all getting along great from a day out laughing having a blast.. Get home and bam we are all fighting as soon as we are in the door..

My parents.. They are reclusive. My mother has no friends and hasn't invited anyone over in years.. We aren't really allowed to.
Accept my sisters and the nieces and nephews.
Family.
But no outsiders/friends..
It's weird
The place feels lifeless a lot of the time..

Not all of the time.. But I don't know..residual negative energy?

I should have enough money for to buy a place in 1 year if I can last that long.

Suffocating.

I've tried to smudge..I'm not allowed to do the house.. Parents freaked..
I laughed and told them they were evil.

I smudge myself.

I think I'm crazy a lot of the time.

Ive felt similar tension, as I've lived in many different places. I believe most spiritual traditions believe in residual energy. After all matter isn't really solid and cant just pack up and leave.

All is suggest, as I've learned via Buddhist tradition is to practise loving-kindness meditations in your place and focus on increasing a loving energy of your own while your there. I've witnessed my own place transform from an abandoned feeling to restful peace.

I personally don't believe a physical object can cause any chaos or negative energy..etc. Who knows, maybe in the future I will feel different. But for me I would focus on ways to stop the fighting between kids, and not worry about the house so much. It really is pretty normal for kids to be out of the house having the freedom to let out some of the abundance of energy kids have (I don't know how they do it) and then of course they will be unhappy when their fun is over and its time to go home. Kids never want to go home, regardless of the house. It is always "Just one more time down the slide" "PPPPPlease can we catch just one more fish" Focus on the things you can fix, not the house. Just my two cents, always judgement free here.. Just trying to help, not acting like I know how to raise kids or am better than you.

The brain/people are weird. We are always trying to recreate our past, for better or worst. For example if you grow up watching daddy beat on mommy you will naturally be drawn to an abusive man. The brain tells us to recreate this trauma and chaos as we get older.
I Don't think this really fits in this thread but it's something I have learned recently so thought I'd share.

you need to get out of your folks home and find a place to raise your kids in a peaceful environment. If you feel those energies then it's a fair bet that they are effecting your kids as well.

I think this is a simple problem of your family living with your parents. Not that the solution is so simple.

You and your kids have a certain way you all are used to being. Your parents have their own ways of being. You and your kids have had to change your style and so have your parents, to accommodate each other. It just gets old after a while. It's probably starting to grate on everyone's nerves.

I would tell everyone you all will hopefully be moving in a year. Them I would save like crazy and try to make it 9 months instead. I like the meditating idea. And candles. And burning stuff that smells good. And the river.

And I agree Jenna..

It's hard when you get stuck in the "loop" of repetitive thought..
Awareness.. Breaking free of it is a challenge.
But I guess that's living.
Still learning to live over here.

Denser the space, deeper the wound.

I suck at deadlines especially when it comes to something I really want to happen...focusing on the end result can repel it if the "goal" isn't serving your greater good.

Bit of salt on the windowsills too.

First day of snow...time to find the charcoal...BBQ tonight.
