An unexplained experience

Something really strange happened to me two days ago in the evening.

I was going for a walk around my neighborhood, and as often is the case, I spend that time thinking about large picture things, like theoretical physics.

Anyway I've been learning a lot about string theory lately and I was trying to extrapolate on the things I've learned and was trying to consider the practical implications of that branch of knowledge, and I found the intuition that given the path of understanding we are on, we may soon reach a point where we are able to use our knowledge to literally and crudely manipulate particular sets of physical rules, in essence 'hacking' aspects of what we might call reality in certain contexts.

And as this thought enters my mind I am filled with this strong gut feeling of premonition - that this notion may be possible.

And then the weird part, the unexplained experience.

Suddenly I feel like something is pressing into my lower shoulder, and I feel this almost numbing, ripple feeling that goes down into my arm and up into the side of my head, and my left arm begins shaking.
I am brought out of my thoughts and I think what is this? And I turn to my left and look, and the feeling leaves, but as it leaves, the bush that I'm currently walking by shakes as if an animal is escaping into it. But it's dark and I can't see whether there was an animal or not.

I can't explain what happened. I think that the bush shaking was somehow related to the feeling -- I don't think it was a coincidence that something rustled the bush simultaneously with the turning of my head, the subsiding of the feeling, and the exiting from the line of thought I was on. I don't think it was an animal... I can't think of any form of animal that would poke somebody (and I guess in this case, poke someone in a very peculiar way to elicit that kind of nervous response) like that.

Something really strange occurred.

Possible that some weirdo poked you from the side of the trail?

Perhaps you pushed into a twig and didn't realize it because of jacket/layers, which also rattled the bush afterwards?

Perhaps the weight of your thought process scared you and your heart skipped a beat, explaining the pressure/rippling feeling in your arm, and the bush remains unexplained?

Possible. A very strange coincidence, but that is a possibility.

Not possible. The pressure came from the lower, rear half of my shoulder, pushing in the direction I was moving. It wouldn't be possible for a twig to get caught at that angle and push in that direction. I was also standing a foot away from the bush, and we're talking about one of those pruned cedar bushes - no odd twigs to speak of.

That is definitely another possibility. More likely than a weirdo poking me lol. I have had in the past a tendency to feel a lot of vibration when I've had discussions about similar topics. It's not fear based though. For whatever reason the act of thinking in that scope causes that kind of reaction in me. Although this would be the first time that reaction included something that felt like an external pressure being acted upon my body.
(and the bush shaking merely a coincidence)

Do you think it had anything to do with the earthquake?

Didn't hear bush move. Saw bush move! And weird physical reaction I've never felt before. And not super powers! Read better!

Not to mention that maybe getting stoned and drunk and tripping out in your mind is how you get super powers. How would you know?

Im not being dismissive. I just lulzed is all.

Tbh i think there is a serious possibility of unlocking some of our brain's potential, or beyond, with the use of certain chems. I truly believe we'll discover some crazy shit along those lines with DMT in the future.

I also believe in the possibility of "mind over matter" type stuff, or the possible ability one may have to shape the reality around them.

And kind of random side note.
You ever seen Full Metal Alchemist sirex? If not you should. I remember you saying youd watch DBZ with your daughter. Give full metal alchemist a try. It is great and everyone loves it.

Absolutely, once we start unshackling ourselves from the stigma around psychoactives, I think there is a huge potential for their study within the scientific community too. There are already a good number of scientists that are itching for the legal rights to start doing these kind of studies.

I haven't seen Full Metal Alchemist - I remember it being on TV back in the day though. And unfortunately my daughter wasn't into DBZ so we never really got into it. Inuyasha is our anime of choice of late.

An unexperienced explanation.

An unexplained exponential existential extraterrestrial experience.

Sorry I just had to scratch that itch.

I was driving once and stopped at an intersection and I felt something touch my knee. I looked down and there was nothing there but my keys were swinging wildly in the ignition.
A few seconds later something touched my knee again and when I looked back a big as a fucking football RAT was sitting on my leg. It jumped off and ran under the drivers seat.
I kept driving cause I was stoned and didn't have it in me to freak out.
Parked in my yard and left the door open. Never saw it again.
Note to self...clean up dropped doritos in car
