thank you

I'm not going bother post this in Guidance and Support but I'm having one of those lonely nights where I'm battling my demons. It's too early to tell quite yet who's winning. i just read a really good article online about Rob Delany's battle with alcoholism and it got me to thinking. Back in high school there was some kid that wore a fedora every day. I immediately assumed he was a loser. Years later I was in a psych ward and he was there too for the same bs. I got to talking to him. He got to explaining that he gets really lonely. He had a really big heart. I told him that. He had a good heart and he would find a good girl but those are hard to find so patience is key which is easier said than done.

I told him I was in a long time relationship with a girl I really loved and ended up in the same place. You're always going be lonely if you can't love yourself which is the hardest thing to do for some people. Two years later I met him again in a crack den I was hanging out at looking to get high. Shit broke my heart. How was someone with such a big heart going down that road? If someone like that lost their way how was someone who was a total piece of shit (me) going get their life together?

I love yahooka because I have such a hard time connecting with people and a lot of you I feel like I can relate on some level despite never have met because most of you have seen some shit and been through some shit. I posted in Guidance and Support a far bit about my struggles with depressing and drinking. So many of you have went out of their way to offer suggestions or welcomed me to PM them. A total stranger. I'm truly blessed to have such a great support network. Family, friends, my doctor, my shrink, online folks I know through gaming and forums. I just wanted to say thanks. I'm not really an active member here, more of a lurker but this has been one of the coolest online communities I've been a part of.
