Post Meditation Visuals

When I meditate I get color visuals, often fractals. What I have discovered is that the different colors I visualize, I also associate with different emotional states. I don't get any specifics of these emotional states, such as the specifics causing them, Instead what I get is a manefistation of the raw emotional state.

Does anyone have a similar experience.

I get that too sometimes. But what usually happens is that image will appear in my mind and gradually the environment takes on it's own reality. I usually meditate when I lay down, and that is when this happens. I pass it off as me just conciously going to a dream state. You should give try, cause if you lay down you can relax and fall asleep. And going into your dreams conciously gives insight into your emotions, egos, personality and lifestyle.

P.S. What methods do you use to meditate hedon?

Tessai,

I am not following any type of "formal" meditation style; at least not one I am aware of.

Anyway...
I usually just get comfy sitting up on the couch (I fall asleep if I lie down) in a dark room with a single candle. Then I just let myself metally relax of into never never land. I have had some unusual experiences this way. I still haven't done OBE, but I felt like I was getting close a number of times before I had to turn back. The feeling was more than a little mentally uncomfortable. I have also used sensory deprivation tanks. Lately I have been experimenting with a Proteus light and sound machine. That thing is pretty bizarre. I am still learning its benefits.
