Any of you care to share your experiences from it if you have had or think you have had the experience.
I think I had it once earlier this year when I was really sorting myself out I felt. I was driving along and I had this rush just go through my body. This insane real feeling I've never gotten from being drunk or on any other drugs. I was completely sober. I was smiling like there was no tomorrow. Now let me tell you one thing about myself. Im a shy person who doesnt smile or talk to people I dont know. Anyway, I went to the mall to work and I was smiling at everyone and I felt SO alive. What do you call this? Just being in a really good mood or something else? |

that's your subconcious. There are like 4 kinds of brain waves, Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma. Mostly we use Beta, it's our general thinking mode. Sometimes we use Alpha it's a zoney deep thinking, picturing, kind of mind state (we're mostly in this while watching TV). Delta and Gamma are generally sleeping/subconscious brain waves. If your brain waves are ever all aligned you can get a rush of "enlightenment" where your subconscious and conscious are working together, it was called the "awakened mind" in the book I read. You can also get the feeling from meditation. I tried it for a while but I never go the feeling and I gave up meditating. Maybe I should try again... You can also get it from drugs methinks. la la la DXM ramble I'm on lotsa drugs now.

I don't have anything enlightening to post. I just wanted to add to what Sans said. There is one more brain wave frequency range known as Theta Waves.
Theta waves are associated with bursts of inspiration, creativity, twilight-sleep learning, deep relaxation, reverie, high levels of awareness, and vivid mental imagery. They are Hypnopompic, and Hypnagogic (just before and just after sleep). I have used a light and sound machine (i.e. - Proteus) to experience these, but I don't think I am enlightened. -Hedons

or it could have just been ur brain sending out the natural "pleasure" shocks that drugs usually wake up and get working.
like a taking a painkiller, but not.

i recently read a book called the psychadelic experience which is based on the tibtean book of the dead (Tim Leary) and it pretty much tells you how to reach nirvana. Im soon to try it with my g/f as a guide while using 120g of dried san peruvian cactus. As for previous experiences... I actually thought i reached it while using 350mg mescaline in combination with the 60min meditation session on a mind machine, but after reading the book i found i had only reached the second bardo...
