What I REALLY like about this place is how NICE and FRIENDLY everyone is. Always a kind word. You can just FEEL the LOVE.

Why am I in here? Well, to tell you the truth, I was searching for intelligent life, but so far all I’ve found is a bunch of burned-out dunces with mean streaks a mile wide. From what I’ve seen, this board makes a pretty good case for the “Say No” to drugs crowd.

Why the attitude? What is everyone so MAD about? This is not a discussion board. It is a one-liner GRAFFITI board.

Did I miss the “No Christians Allowed” sign out front? You’re so busy making enemies you don’t even know who your friends are. Whatta waste.

Dissident,

Checked out the Christians for Cannabis site, but was not too impressed, especially with the discussion board. Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see much being discussed, which is too bad. I tried having a Cannabis-related discussion on other “Christian” boards and was basically asked to shut-up or leave. Still very much a taboo subject. Impossible (so far) to have a rational discussion with rank-and-file Christians. That’s why I wandered in here. That’s the irony. “Christian” boards are anti-Cannabis, and hedonist boards are (apparently) anti-Christian.

All dressed up and no place to go.

Jini,

You may not be in here as often as you’d like, but you’re not missing much. It doesn't take long to figure out that Cannabis without Christ is like sky-diving without a parachute.

I can't speak for everyone on this board, but I'll tell you right now that I've been alienated by so-called Christians since I was 5 years old.. simply for being and wanting to be an individual. I'm pretty sure there are others here who are like me.

I've been lucky enough to experience people from just about every major religion that exists on this planet, and even some of the lesser known religions such as Wicca, Satanism, and Paganism in general. I've found Christians to be the most intolerant of any of these sects.

It's also my opinion that for the most part, religion serves as a mental crutch for the masses and nothing more.

It's my opinion that you'll likely have to prove yourself as an individual worthy of kind words on any message board pertaining to culture that is well-known to be hated by the majority of your religion.

Cheers.

I'm a christian. I don't do the rituals, I don't belong to a "church". True christianity shares little with the organization that whores its name out to the rest of the world for money and power. We are the church, all who the spirit indwells.

It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope in the living God, who is the saviour of all men, especially of believers. Prescribe and teach these things. 1Tim4:9-11

Hey Soulman!
I can really appreciate what you're feeling. Unfortunately, at one point, I ran into the same kind of intolerance on the C4C website as well. Thankfully Jini and others did intervene and things have been pretty cool since then. Part of the problem with their being a lack of discussion on the C4C list is that people like you and I don't involve ourselves enough there. I was fairly active for a while but slacked off.
On another subject, I too have found just as great a degree of intolerance amongst "pagans" as others claim to have found amongst "Christians" It seems to me that if we aRE CONCERNED ABOUT CANNABIS, IT'S USE, decriminalization, legaization or just tolerance then we all need to drop our judgemental attitudes and work together. That seems to be really tough for some folks.
Jini, hello to you!! As always, keep up the good work at C4C, I will try to get in there and post more often

oh yeah, I forgot. if you go to the spiritual smoke forum, you'll probably find more of us ranging from the "orthodox" to the "heretical" and everything inbetween (not that those words mean anything )
