meditation and pineal gland secretions

I have heard that some shamans can achieve a state of meditaion were they can trigger a pineal gland secretion of dmt and enter the dmy sensorium. Does anyone have any links or information on this? I'm sure it takes incredibly concentrationa nd patience but i'm quite interested in this topic.

I wouldn't doubt it, that sounds really interesting. I've heard that certain monks trained themselves to allow their own brains to kill their body as a form of suicide if the need ever arose. They practiced by meditating and keeping their bodys on the verge of shutting down...almost dead. There could also be some correlation, because it has been found that DMT is naturally released in the brain, and is at it's highest peak quantities in circulation during the birth and death stages of life
