Where's Jesus?

Hi, I can't find the spirit of the embodiment of The One true God. I've tried really hard to. Of course, I wouldn't be wasting anyone's time right now if I hadn't already tried. I went to Catholic school as a kid, babtised and confirmed. I was really interested in the guy who died for my sins, but couldn't rid myself of doubt. teacher said, "doubt is what separates us from our lord, Jesus Christ." I wondered if i'd go to hell for not believing. the teacher said I'd remain in purgatory until all doubt was overcome. and with sin I could go to hell if i was lucky. My best friend had watched his dad murder his mom when he was Six. He asked a similar question to the church about his mom, who wasn't christian. They told him she wouldn't go to heaven. He hates all organized christion religeons, with a passion now and tells me of all his research in disproving the entire bible and revealing hypocracies of the church, ect. I'm still unsure. Can anyone give me some pointers. I'm semi-familiar with some concepts of eastern religeons, so I don't need alot of hype about the 'ego' separating us from christ. Ive heard that stuff before.

Jesus is in you, around you and everywhere. When you have the need to talk to him all you gotta do is ask him from your heart.

I think our relationship with him and his kingdom is one that you built on. The more you built on it (and work on it), the more He will make his presence obvious.

Dont expect to all of sudden start having a relationship with God. It comes with time.

the more you clean your mind and soul the more God will make his presence evident to you

Don't assume your catholic school was right.
God is love. And as they say, love is in the air.

Psalm 4:
Answer me when I call to you
O my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?
(Selah)
Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself;
the LORD will hear when I call to him.
In your anger do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.
(Selah)
Offer right sacrifices
and trust in the LORD .
Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?"
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD .
You have filled my heart with greater joy
than when their grain and new wine abound.
I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O LORD ,
make me dwell in safety.

Maybe you're trying too hard and not accepting enough that He's been there all along?

Anybody else care to field this one? I'm thinking you're going the way of Atantricchick...even the insults wouldn't be understood.

Any time, my friend :P

Pitfall,
how is it so close-minded to believe in Jesus (though I think Ego Tripping believes in different way than I do)?
Does open-mindedness mean you discard anything "un-scientific" or what?

I believe Jesus was the only Human to ever achieve true Christ Consciousness on Earth. I also believe he was born this way, not merely 'developed.' I think he stood for the very meaning of Love and that alone makes him the Saviour.

But I don't think of him as a Man. Or a God. He's the bridge between the two. A Roadmap for us.

i didn't say that. i'm saying ego (queen of denial) is closed-minded for telling everyone to question everything (while believing in something that can't be proven). to not concrete anything as big as jesus into your mind as a belief. he acts like nobody has the answers, and that there aren't any answers anyway. but then he comes out saying that jesus exists??

What do you believe in that can be proven?

Why are you taking my opinion as fact? I don't have the answers but does that mean I'm not allowed to have my theories about it?

I haven't done this in a while but, go fuck yourself man.

Not to be an asshole, but you could well take that post and change "ego" to "pitfall" and "jesus" to "aliens"...

who said that the life of Jesus cannot be proven Pitfall?

Even Muslim books aknowledge the fact that Jesus walked the Earth and did miracles.

And as a matter of fact even historic books state his presence, not only religious ones.

i second that Ego.

makes sense^

In the original Greek script, Jesus was described as a Θεάνθρωπος (pronounced : theanthropos). From the words Θεός (theos)= God and άνθρωπος (anthropos) = human being.

Θεάνθρωπος means something between a God and a human being.

I call him Son of God, who took the form of a human being while on his life on earth.

Hey Peace Seeker, you're Greek right? Can you read the manuscripts in their original language?

You’re taking your opinion as fact, not me. So Jesus exists yeah, oh wow, thanks for the history lesson. Where’s your evidence that God exists then? Prove this without saying “the beauty of the world”, because the beauty of the world isn’t evidence. You can have some faith, full faith, no faith, but faith isn’t evidence either. Some people can feel “god”, some people can’t. Some people THINK they feel this “entity”, when it’s something else altogether. God hasn’t been proven to exist or to not exist yet. It's about taking a chance to go down one road, or to go down another. Or, you can always try out both.

1. Faith comes into play no matter what.
2. Faith does not exclude logic and vice versa.

Ego Tripping will answer for himself, but the question applies to me too. I already gave you pretty good evidence that Jesus is real - my very life is evidence of that. But I can't prove it to you any more than you can prove to me there is a moon when I don't see it. Of course it exists, it's logical. I have faith in the people who studied the moon and says it's not in fact a yellow cheese. And just the same, it's logical to assume that Jesus did in fact save me when I asked him and all these miracles started happening in my life.

You're talking about being open minded and going down two roads, but it seems you yourself are denying any acceptance that we may be right in our faith.

Well I’m so sorry I’m not you, or a sheep for that matter. The Bible is horseshit and this thing that you feel, how do you know it’s Jesus? It might be Satan!
