Right, except nothing you've posted has anything to do with earthquakes.

Hundreds May Be Dead in Indonesia Quake
Associated Press | March 28, 2005 By MICHAEL CASEY BANDA ACEH, Indonesia (AP) - A major earthquake struck late Monday off the west coast of Indonesia, and police said hundreds of people may have been killed in collapsed buildings. Thousands panicked in countries across the Indian Ocean as tsunami warnings were posted. Fears of another catastrophe similar to December's devastating tsunami eased within hours, as officials in countries closest to the quake's epicenter said there were no reports of big waves striking their coasts after the temblor was reported. Early reports of damage and casualties were confined to the island of Nias, off the Sumatran coast. About 70 percent of houses and building in the market in the town of Gunungsitoli on the island had collapsed, said police Sgt. Zulkifli Sirait. "We still cannot count the number of casualties or the number of collapsed building because it is dark here," Sirait said in a telephone interview. "It is possible that hundreds of people trapped in the collapsed buildings died." The Indonesian government said the quake had "claimed several lives" on the island. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake, which occurred at 11:09 p.m. local time (11:09 a.m. EST), measured a magnitude of 8.2. A later reading put the magnitude at 8.7, said Paul Earle, a USGS geophysicist. Indian Ocean Quake Upgraded to 8.7... Prompts Concern About Tsunami Bloomberg | March 29, 2005 A magnitude-8.7 earthquake struck off the northwestern coast of Indonesia, raising initial concerns that a tsunami might hit the area where waves from a Dec. 26 temblor caused widespread death and destruction. ``There has been no major tsunami observed near the epicenter,'' the U.S. government's Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said in a bulletin on its Web site issued almost three hours after the quake, the period the agency said was the most dangerous. The U.S. Geological Survey initially measured the quake's strength as magnitude 8.2. Agus Mendrofa, a local government official, said there were deaths and injuries from falling objects like furniture in the quake on the island of Nias off Sumatra, Indonesia's MetroTV reported. India, while posting a tsunami alert, said there was no evidence of destructive waves. S.K. Swami, director of national disaster management in India's Ministry of Home Affairs, said in a telephone interview from New Delhi that ``so far nothing has been noted'' in terms of a higher sea level. The earthquake was an aftershock of the magnitude-9 undersea quake on Dec. 26 that killed as many as 270,000 people around the Indian Ocean as waves slammed into shorelines as far away as East Africa. Indonesia's Sumatra island was the hardest hit spot in the December disaster, which devastated local economies, from the fishing industry in Sri Lanka to beach hotels in Thailand. Ten Most Powerful The U.S. Geological Survey said the March 28 temblor hit at 11:09 p.m. Sumatra time and was among the 10 most powerful quakes recorded since 1900. The epicenter was about 50 miles offshore. The quake was strong enough to cause a tsunami, Jill McCarthy, chief scientist on the geological hazards team, said in a telephone interview. Sri Lanka posted a tsunami warning, Agence France-Presse cited government authorities as saying. Thailand issued a warning for provinces in the southern part of the country, Kraisorn Pornsuthee, permanent secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Ministry, told ITV television network. Smith Thammasaroj, vice minister of the Office of the Prime Minister in Thailand, where he heads the country's recently established tsunami warning system, told Channel 7 there are no signs of a tsunami. He advised people to ``stay in a safe place just to be sure'' until 2:30 a.m. local time. Sumatra Coast Damage from the quake in Medan, one of the largest cities in Sumatra, was limited, the U.S. consul general told the State Department, agency spokesman Adam Ereli said in Washington. Medan is closer to the east coast of Sumatra, near the Strait of Malacca, than to the Indian Ocean. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, based in Hawaii, urged ``immediate action'' to evacuate Indian Ocean coasts up to 1,000 kilometers from the epicenter after the quake. There is not yet an Indian Ocean tsunami warning network similar to the one operating in the Pacific. Government authorities ``can assume the danger has passed'' if no tsunami waves are seen within three hours of the quake, the center said. The quake lasted as long as three minutes, AFP cited Indonesia's Meteorological and Geophysics Office as saying. The temblor caused power blackouts on Sumatra, AFP said. Residents in Banda Aceh, the provincial capital of Aceh, fled by the thousands, Indonesia's MetroTV news station reported, citing its reporter on the ground. Mona Laczo, an Oxfam aid coordinator, said in a telephone interview she felt the quake from the 23rd floor of her Bangkok hotel, saying the building swayed ``for a good minute.'' December Disaster The disaster prompted one of the largest international relief efforts ever mounted, including U.S. Navy ships and helicopters sent in to haul food and medicine to areas in Indonesia and Sri Lanka cut off after the waves swept ashore. The Indonesian government last week increased its estimate for the cost of rebuilding areas devastated by the disaster by 27 percent to include programs to help survivors rebuild their lives. The December earthquake and tsunami raised the risk of another quake of more than 7 magnitude in the region because of increased pressure on the seabed, a group of seismologists said in a study released last month. The magnitude-9 quake caused the Indian tectonic plate to slip under the Burma plate, increasing stress on the Sumatra fault line near Aceh, the study by John McCloskey from the University of Ulster and colleagues said. The research underlines the need for a tsunami warning system in the Indian Ocean, McCloskey said. A United Nations-sponsored group called this month for Indian Ocean countries to create tsunami emergency contact centers by April 1. The centers would receive warnings from earthquake and tidal censors and transmit them to country officials, who in turn would pass them onto the public. 100 percent' chance of tsunami after quake: US seismologist AFP | March 28, 2005 LOS ANGELES - There is a "100 percent" chance of a tsunami threatening Indian Ocean nations following a massive 8.7 magnitude quake off the coast of Indonesia, a US seismologist said. "My personal view is that a tsunami has a 100 percent chance of happening," US Geological Survey earthquake expert Kerry Sieh told journalists in Los Angeles. The US Pacific Tsunami Warning Center called for "immediate action" against a tidal wave following the quake off Sumatra island which it estimated at 8.5 on the Richter scale. The US Geological Survey, one of the global leaders in earthquake monitoring, said it was 8.2 on the Richter scale. It was the biggest aftershock since the December 26 quake in the same region that measured 9.0 on the Richter scale and caused a tidal wave which killed 273,000 people in countries around the Indian Ocean. The epicenter of the new quake was about 205 kilometers (125 miles) west of Sibolga on Sumatra and 245 km (150 miles) southwest of the Sumatra city of Medan. An earthquake over 8.0 on the Richter scale is strong enough to cause massive damage and loss of life.

Dozens Reported Dead in Indonesia After Quake
Reuters | March 28, 2005 JAKARTA - A massive earthquake killed dozens of people and destroyed hundreds of homes in the main town on Indonesia's Nias island Monday evening, a local government official told Metro TV. "I can guarantee that dozens have died," Agus Mendrofa, the deputy mayor of Gunungsitoli town, said. The massive 8.2 magnitude quake struck off the coast of Sumatra Monday close to where a quake triggered a tsunami that left nearly 300,000 people dead or missing across Asia, residents and officials said. The latest quake had the potential to cause a "widely destructive tsunami" and authorities should take "immediate action," including evacuating coastlines within 600 miles of the epicenter, the Pacific tsunami warning center said. One official said any possible tsunami could be headed toward the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius. Indonesia's Metro TV quoted a resident on the island of Nias, off western Sumatra, as saying buildings there were damaged. "Things are quite bad right now," the resident said. "There is much damage. People are running in panic. Many people are also trapped." He did not elaborate on what he meant by people were "trapped." Tens of thousands of people across northern and western Sumatra fled their homes and drove or ran to higher ground, TV and residents said. Thailand urged people living along parts of its west coast, including tourists on the resort island of Phuket, to evacuate while Malaysia issued a warning to coastal residents. "About 3,000 to 4,000 tourists and locals have been evacuated from Patong and Kamala beaches to higher places," Phuket deputy governor Wichai Buapradit told Reuters. "We've told them to take their valuable belongings and to go to higher places," he added. Authorities in India's Andaman and Nicobar islands, north of the epicenter, issued a preliminary tsunami warning as did the federal government in New Delhi. Sirens were ringing in the eastern Sri Lankan town of Trincomalee and many coastal areas were evacuated, residents said. NO REPORTS OF TSUNAMI Indonesia's information minister said there were no reports of a tsunami along the coast. "There is no report of any damage," the Andaman and Nicobar islands' Lieutenant-Governor Ram Kapse told Reuters by telephone. "We have issued an initial warning. If there is any problem, we will evacuate." A spokesman for the U.S. Geological Survey told Reuters the quake struck 125 miles west northwest of Sibolga, Sumatra or 880 miles northwest of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta at 1609 GMT, close to where the 9.0 magnitude quake struck in December. It was felt as far away as Singapore and the Malaysian coastal city of Penang, jolting people out of their beds just past midnight. "It felt stronger than on Dec. 26," said Arumugam Gopal, a resident of Penang. A telephone operator in the Sumatran city of Medan said: "It was very strong. We all ran out of the building." An NGO official in Banda Aceh, the town worst hit by the Dec. 26 tsunami, sent out a telephone message saying thousands of people fled their homes and headed for higher ground after feeling what he described as "a very damn big earthquake." U.S. Geological Survey spokesman Don Blakeman said Monday's quake was considered a "great earthquake" because it was larger than a magnitude 8. He said it was an aftershock from December's temblor but was a "very serious earthquake in its own right." But the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the quake had the "potential to generate a widely destructive tsunami in the ocean or seas near the earthquake." "Authorities can assume the danger has passed if no tsunami waves are observed in the region near the epicenter within three hours of the earthquake," it added.

I know I shouldn't try to say anything smart on this topic. For all I know those military animataion were produced by a test in a tank of water. That's how they look to me.
Maybe the next one will hit LA.... Have a great day! William |

But tesla is and his inventions(same technology as HAARP) were used to create the 1976 earthquake in Tangshan, China. Plasma fireballs and all and pitfall PLEASE keep the chemtrails in the chemtrails forum...yes they are a part of HAARP but their purpose is weather and climate, not seismic manipulation. |
