Once again, dont care about the book. Dont know why you people care so much about a damn book.

I asked him what form of meditation he would like to practice. The Zen guy started going on about how meditation isnt about "seeing things". How is that saying what meditation is and what meditation isnt? Im sorry if i offended all you er...Zenists(?) out there, but il say it again, no problem with the book. Il even recommend the book. Happy?

Anyone else notice that there's something strange in the air lately? Group hug? Oh come on... you know you want to.

Don't get up-tight everyone... what's up? It's what it is... nothing more/ nothing less... we all express our views from our windows and we can't get bent out of shape simply because we all see different parts of it... we're all showing this young seeker a different part and I'm sure that he'll look into it himself and get from it what he is meant to get from it. Many blessings to you all..... and if you don't need the hug... I do

I don't believe I ever wrote that my way is the "right" way. I am also quite sorry that you became upset from that post.

What I say here is based on my experience, unless I document it as a reported fact. Meditation is very personal to me, and so when I see a post like this, I like to offer my own personal insight.

Comparing the book I recommended to the bible is really just absurd. Had I recommended The Critique of Pure Reason or something else you probably never would have made that comparison. Suzuki's book is a philosophical book about his view of reality. He doesn't say there's anything you have to do or that there is any punishment for not doing it. He simply and eloquently states the way he sees reality.

I'd appreciate it if people were not so quick to jump on the comments I make which are personal and come from much consideration. Reading something and replying to it moments later does not do it justice. If I am in a debate type setting, then that is acceptable, but here I'm just stating something personal.

As to Bookends4u, hope that any technique you choose works out for you.

^I was.. still am tghe complete opposite. When im high there are loads of thoughts flowing through my awareness.. i find it difficult to stop the flow.. unless im not stonned.. when i think its easier to do.

Anyway.. BOOOOOOOOO! to Medititation! Spend your energy trying to fall asleep awake! Medititation is pretty much nothing in comparison. I stopped trying with it the day i discovered how to lucid dream. Meditation just seems a bit shit now really.
