I think hes saying that the bible is no different than any other book made in history- its a collection of ideas put into a linear-page format. its no more divine than playboy or hustler. just another work of fiction among millions of other works of fiction.

Right...you asked for "proof that its bullshit." Well, Religion (all Religion) claims to be 100% right, thats why you pick one and stick to it, right?

Yet all Religion was recorded by Man and then translated and passed along the ages. Knowing the chance that Man made an error during these translations automatically makes them exempt of being 100% correct and thus, are bullshit if they tout to be true. Simple logic really.

I see Religions as pieces of a very large puzzle. All the Religions claims to know what the Big Picture is yet none of them have all the puzzle pieces. They all have a piece and thats why I am open minded to all forms of Religion but I still trust my own instincts above anything to put the pieces together, no Doctrine or Book can explain the answers. All they can do is show me some clues but I ultimately have to search the Self for the answers.

So, in short, they are basically bullshit because they claim to have the answers. Nobody has the answers. Plus, the answer is subjective, so the only person that does have the answer, is me.

Religion is bullshit.

I find that people that are religious are weak and need something greater to hold onto.

Im not saying that all religious people are this way, but from what I find, the majority are.

I feel that way too because I can't have a conversation with a religious without them having to envoke their "creator" to help them in someway. It's annoying. Weak people are annoying.

Any religion that claims God has wrath is bullshit. That knocks out Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
Hinduism has the the caste system and that is clear bullshit.
I don't know much about the other "big" religions that are claimed to be practiced on earth but im sure theyre bullshit too.

Not at all, the "other 'big' religions" are the ones I connect to with much more. Buddhism and Taoism for example.

western philosophies are submissive where the individual takes a secondary role. Eastern philosophies, such as Buddhism for example, place the individual in a more primary role (meditation, introspection, etc). Considering the individual is apparent and a major factor in every situation in life, being depedant on it makes sense. However, when one makes themselves secondary, they're dependant on ideal conditions. Outside of these conditiosn they fail. That doesn't make sense. Evolution and adaption tell you to survive in every environment, and every context. I take that approach to ideas, if it requires the neglection of an environment, if it requires the rejection of an idea, to remain valid, then it isn't valid itself. That's how I measure truth really... until I find a better method at least.

Religion is a means to make an ends. Sure, you can take that path, it provides a lot of things. The fact of the matter is however so many people get caught in up in this religion, assigning unreal characteristics to it, that when they try looking outside of it they can't. Its like staring into the sun for an hour and trying to stumble through a pitch black cave. It's not going to work. You gotta keep clear sighted, open minded, and make sure you know your path. Religion only does a small part of that, enoguh to keep the person interested and satisfy some inner, personal issues. It then only goes to exploit the individual for the benefit of a few. While you can mine the gold out of it, it is hardly worth the while, and numerous people in todays society are providing much more direct methods for the same result.

One day I'm sure we'll look past all this bullshit, looking back on allthe divisions we placed on eachother, and be like fuck thats stupid. See it in teh same light we see all the other eon year old traditions, practices and concepts. One day, one day..
