Meditation will get me further than LSD will now adays. After a couple hours my state of mind more reflects the experience of ayahuasca.

Naturally occurring psychedelics, or, rather, natural sources of psychedelic chemicals are most definitely "beings." You need to read The Teachings of Don Juan by C. Casteneda, and you will see thoroughly that these plants and fungi are "powers" and have definite elements of gender as humans have defined.

Whether LSD is a she or a he...well, I haven't thought on that much. I consider it an alien from another world, another dimension, another type of consciousness our human conscience could only hope to aspire to, if anything.

And drugs are most definitely spiritual tools if you choose to use them as such. There's a famous cliché that's something to the tune of,"Drugs can bring you to the door; it's up to you to walk your sweet ass through..."

Casteneda was studying anthropology at Cal when he went on the journey that is recounted in the Teachings. The second part of the book is more or less a dissertation on the Yaqui shaman Way of Knowledge.

A gateway drug to say the least, further more people use without even consideration, not consenting to moderation in the least, and dont even get me started on the withdrawels. the goal of alchemy is to turn lead into gold. to take a substance and combine it with another substance that makes it more than it's origenal worth. in this sense, you really need to start making bronze statues of your pharmacist or local chemist, for they have made gods own medicine, morphine, and in contrast, a shiney rock doesnt seem to compete.
