Do you take anti-depressants?

I've been on Lamictal for about a year now. I don't have limpdick, I don't want to shoot anyone, and I don't think it's bullshit.

If anything, it's provided a balancing effect to my mood swings. I still feel highs and lows...it's not like I'm a fucking atomaton or something.

It's just that I don't get MANIC or knife-to-wrist suicidal.

While ya'll are entitled to your opinions, if you don't take them/have taken them, you seriously don't know wtf you're talking about.

I've been on Zoloft and some other AD each for relatively long periods of time. Never again.

zoloft gave me serious limpdick. i stopped taking it mainly because i decided mushrooms could take me in a better direction and the MAOI inhibitors in zoloft would decrease the effects of psilocybin. and id like to add occational mushroom trip in low to medium doses has worked out well. giving me clarity when i need it, insted of the fog of those pills.

welcome to the club, i noticed to many emotional changes in me that I ended up just not taking them out of free will. Really not a fan of SSRI AD's, there touted as miraculous chemicals though nowadays.

THC is the only AD I'll ever need

I found SSRIs helped my depression. Some side effects yes, but not without results. I don't take them anymore as I am on a more experimental regimen for depression, but they did work.

Zoloft definitley helped me out a few years back, and I hardly expected them to work at all.

It's been said already though, they don't get you high.

I recently had to go back on them....the ones i'm on stop ceratain chemicals from going to my fabulous brain, which in turn stops me from hating myself, suffering from a neverending anxious knot in my stomach, and makes me happy. Mine just make me feel better, but don't drink on them it defeats the purpose...they will stop working.

They work for me.....Just follow the guidelines properly and they work.

I'm on Effexor-xr.

also don't go off them cold turkey or you'll be fucked.

You gotta ween yourself off them.

I don't know, I've never been on anti-depressants while not being on mood-stabilizers/anti-psychotics at the same time.

Explain to me, they block certain chemicals and what not to the brain..

But dosn't that still leave all those issues just pushed in the background that entailed the depression psychosis...?

Somewhere between that and "it's just the emotions that are supressed and not the issues" lies the answer.
