Eh england prices are quite a bit different. 50 a small is the price in wisconsin for just regular nuggets, nothing to special. $60 an eighth will get you some really good headies if you know where to look.

Hostile I've heard of prices in england to be around 20-25 pounds per eighth (3.5 grams) and about 120 pounds per ounce. Don't take my word on it for sure though, since I'm in the states. Theres an offical weed prices thread in the general discussion area of the forum.

Well guys, it worked out. The untrusty type didn't come through, but the slightly-more-trustworthy kid did, and I think it worked out. He had two 1/10th bags of... something. He admitted he didn't know what it was or where it was from, and that it might "not be very good", "but should be okay". :/

I've attached few pictures for your consideration:





What you're looking at is one quantity loose in a box, the other still in it's bag. I paid £30 for both of them together. It's brown, tacky and clumpy, and smells surprisingly sweet. What baffles the fuck out of me (and which I only noticed after first smoking) was that there's some black string running through it. I sure as shit hope I didn't smoke any of that.

I rolled my first ever spliff (a surprisingly efficient job if I do say so myself), walked to a forgotten park nearby and smoked it while listening to Cannabis Corpse.




After about 5 hits and a lot of fucking around with my lighter, I got it burning real good. About that time I hit a coughing fit, and it was a real fucker... feels like I burnt my throat maybe. Still, finished it in about 6 minutes.

Sad to say, I don't feel anything, except a sting in my throat and a tiredness related more to the hour than anything else. This is the fifth time I've smoked weed, and the most I've smoked in one go to date, and like before I have failed to experience any sort of effect. Still, I ain't mad at myself for trying, and I've still got plenty left to roll. I think I might be hitting way too deep for a newbie.

Of-course, in the spirit of my ever-shrinking ignorance, here's sum questions:

1) Is there any point to holding your breath on a hit? I don't think it is but I keep doin' it.
2) Any weed lovers wanna take a guess at the 'nature' of this weed, especially the quality?
3) String?!
4) Did I get a good deal? I was hoping to spend £50-60, so the small quantity was kind of disappointing.

1) There is, but only up to about 5 seconds or so. Any longer is useless.
2) The weed may have been decent grade at some point, but if so it hasn't been handled well. Classic middies, which with a lack of tolerance should get you proper stoned.
3) your guess is as good as mine.
4) I don't think you were "ripped off," but given nun's figures you could have conceivably found a better deal.

So it really didn't get you high at all? Might have something to do with how you're inhaling. The stuff's certainly legit.

Thanks for the quick response. I don't know how a high feels, suffice to say that I felt nothing. The first time I smoked weed I got a roaring headache, but that was with 'baccy, so... fuck if I know. Tomorrow 'evening' I'm gonna couch up in my room and run it through the bong instead, see if that doesn't help.

I gotta tell ya... I think there's a slim possibility that I might have smoked some string.

Just eye it carefully after you break it up to make sure any foreign materials don't make their way into the bowl. Actually (and forgive me if this insults your intelligence), did you break it up prior to rolling it? The weed looks dry, so it should crumble rather easily. Rolling chunks of it up might explain why you had trouble lighting it and keeping it lit, which in turn might help explain why the full effects of the weed eluded you. Break it down to a consistency a little finer than sea salt and you'll be good to go. Of course if you did break it up properly, disregard this. Just trying to cover all the bases.

I think getting high is something of an acquired sensation that you might not completely notice until you become familiar with it. I know I didn't get high my first few times smoking, and it can't only be something to do with improper inhalation. See how the bong works out and let us know.

Gotta start somewhere man. It was only £30 (half my estimated budget) and I was hardly expecting Amsterdam quality. I just wanted weed. I talked to him again today, and he basically acknowledged it might well be crap. I could still appeal to the crazy bastard I originally talked to, but honestly I wouldn't trust him not to try and sell me tree bark.

I just smoked 3 thinly packed bowls in my bathroom (got the idea from Doja's thread) and listened to The Pillows. I don't feel shit. Either this weed is boot-scrapings or I've got a high tolerance. Either way I'm feeling pretty disheartened. Hopefully the cooking works out better.

After hitting it I had a shower, then opened the window, put the extractor on and sprayed a litre of deodorant. I think my trail is covered.

You only get a high tolerance from smoking bud all day everyday for a while, you don't just naturally have a high tolerance so i'm guessing it's just shit weed, but even that should get you a little high.
