maybe it's because the government/dea/drug war toilet doesnt want the FACTS released on that subject, hmmm? maybe it helps their cause more to have ppl who obviously never smoked it before continue to think that cannabis is just as mentally and physically addictive as heroin, or meth, or cocaine.

reffer to my post above yours

The only thing I have to contribute to this topic, is this:

Think of what America would turn into if prohibition was enabled tomorrow.

wow, if you have to smoke half an ounce a day to get high, quitting should be easy.

I smoke a bowl every morning. then depending on what day it is a bowl or two after school.

i quit four days ago because of my tolerance and girlfreind.
its been pretty damn easy alot easier then i thought.

i belive that marijuana is not addictive physically only mentally and that with enough will you can quit point blank.

on the other hand cigarettes and alcohol are not anything i know about seeing as i dont drink or smoke cigs.

No one, even the government relates, marijuana to alcohol.

No one creaditable, that's worth linking for proof, would do such an "experiment." Besides, no one's tried pulling the "Weedaholicism is in your genes." Unlike alcohol....

Notice the (dot) gov. That means that it's creaditable, weren't you guys taught that in school? Sure it's habbit forming, and like I said previously... If you can't control it, and it actually effects your life, you shouldn't be doing it. Ok, it's habbit forming. Now stfu.

If you can find a (dot) gov website that compares marijuana directly with alcohol, IN ANY WAY. I will paypal you $10.
The 2 drugs share some similarities. Both decrease reaction time and produce a feeling of euphoria. Both are intoxicating and mood altering. The difference is that alcohol is a depressant and thc is not. I already mentioned the addiction differences.

There are also many other differences like smoking pot isn't bad for the liver, but alcohol isn't bad for the lungs etc.

The fact remains that they are both addictive. I have heard a medical doctors utter the words that marijuana is about as addictive as caffeine. I could make a case with some coffee drinkers that I've seen that caffeine is at least moderately addictive, if not heavily addictive to a few.

The thing about weed is it's mostly addicting because it makes just damn near anything interesting. So if you live a repetitive boring life, and you are cool with marijuana, your more prone to become a dependent "Stoner". Or if you use marijuana to alter your mood in depressing times you make become emotionally dependent.

With alcohol people have literally died after they quit drinking.

I think we all know which is safer/healthier.
