So I did some laundry and accidentally sent my baggie through the wash. Not a whole lot (more than a dime, but less than an eighth), but I'd hate to see it go. Would it be ok to smoke, once dry? I'm worried about the chemicals in the detergent, and the stuff actually came out of the bag. I'm assuming the answer's no, but one can always hope.

I don't know, I just wouldn't trust smoking weed that has been through a wash cycle. I mean it'd be bad enough in just water alone, but what with all the dirt and chemicals and clothes and shit, I just would never even try, man.

a couple days ago i had my first "oh shit my weed is in pants being washed" incident.

luckily i was able to retrieve the weed before any damage was done, it was in a sealed ziplock, and there must have been like a microscopic hole in it because after 20 minutes in the washer only about a drop went into the bag.

i was so relieved that my stash was dry that i forgot to take out my wallet which was in the same pair of pants, and ended up getting washed.

as for the weed, it stayed dry the whole time, except for a little piece in the corner, which i dried out and smoked

What I would do.


I'd re-wash it with purified water,
rinse & repeat until the smell or you feel is enough.

If it's in bud form.

If it's all shake too bad how good could it have been anyway?


What kind of load was it?

Did you use bleach.

If you did, I'd pass as well.

TCH is not water soluble, so realy the only thing you have to worry about would be any soap chemicals left. You could probably soak it in purified water and re-dry it. I'd be weary of soap residue.

hey man, times are tough. economy's not what it should be.

I agree with the rinse in purified/distilled. test it, if it tastes fine, its good.

whatever you washed it with, cant be worse than whats in cigarettes anyway. haha
