Hippyland

anyone have stories of hippyland?

anyone write any fantasy stories of hippyland?

Want to muse upon and wax groovily about hippies, especially jefferson airplane?

Just post on yahooka or my forum if you want, either is really groovy!

Got any stories of a hippie popping out of a side street and giving you a joint or shrooms or telling you a tale? Were you that hippie?

Once at the SXSW festival in Austin I was outside la zona rosa when paramore, chiodos and drop dead gorgeous were playing(me n my brohams were already baked) and a hippie with a backpack walked by us and just gave us the a "very kind" spliff and then faded off into the trees after passing by lol

My friend-girl was up in denton and a hippie as she says "popped out of a corner" and gave her and her friends some shrooms and tripped with them lol

peace love and harmony

move this to free for all if it should be moved pls

Mclennison.....you'r e starting to scare me.

What is your idea of a 'hippie'?

I listen to Beatle music alot. One of my favorite bands of all time. I have the complete collection, because it's ALL good. I also listen to opera, classical, blues, rock and roll, doo-wop, jazz, and even some rap and hip hop. I am now getting into Gomez because I like them. Jefferson Airplane is good, but I never got into Strawberry Alarm Clock.

I have done shrooms and every thing like it, and have given plenty of weed and stuff to others and had plenty given back to me. Never thought much about it, except for that what friends do....give and take, back and forth.

I never said 'groovy', because I personally thought it was dumb, but friends did and that was ok.

I protested the war in Vietnam. Participated in 'sit-ins', wore sandals from India, hip hugger bell bottoms, tie dye shirts, etc., etc., etc.

I always thought that 'hippie' was the closest label that would apply to me. But not for any of the above reasons. For..... I guess the attitude. The only thing that I see that 'hippies' really have in common is there's not one of them a Republican.

I accept the term hippie, because sometimes people need to figure out where you fit. I'm just a long hair Appliachian kid who has distain for shaving. Admittedly I tragically fall into the stereotypes pretty often, but people 'on the scene' are too 'heady' for me. It's like its just another way to gain acceptence, not have people accep you for who you are.

I like to say groovy, for fun, just because it makes people laugh when I say it with a hint of sarcasm.

Mellow out chicks and dudes...the Beatles, man, I mean, right on, they're groovy, like, far out...I mean, wow man, they really blow my mind. They are like, outta sight, a real trip. So yeah man, be cool. I gotta split before I get too spaced out to ball my old man. That would be a bummer. Some heavy shit man. Peace.

just in fun....
