Hiding the smell is for pussies, I display the fact that Im high with pride. But this is what I did when I didnt know my parents didnt care that I smoked, just open the window and put the fan on high.

I have the opposite problem,

I live in a small apartment type building with neighbors that basically I share a wall with on two sides, 3 apartments in one house type thing.

I don't want to blow it outside out of fear that a neighbor may smell it. I can smoke in the place, but for some reason I have this fear that the smoke may permeate through the wall or something.. lol, kinda stupid, but I just don't know for sure, and don't want to risk it.

anyone have experience with this?

My last place. At the time I was doing no drugs at all. I could smell when the guy below my was painting things and when certain visitors smoked cigarettes. I would get a vaporizer (healthier, much less smell, tastes better, lasts longer--well worth it) and burn nicely scented candles and such.

This is an age-old question and problem. You're so much better off smoking outdoors or in your car, if you can not afford to be "caught" with a room smelling weed-like.

Here's what you do: Get a big plastic garbage bag and exhale your smoke into the bag. Put a rubber band around the end each time to keep the bag closed tight. The majority of the smoke inside the bag will cool and stick to the interior of the bag. Let the rest of the smell out by putting the bag outdoors for a few seconds.

It's not rocket science... just experiment until you figure it out.

Joints are very wasteful and real people like to get the most from their $300/oz smoke. Do a hit from a pipe, cover the bowl immediately, hold it in as long as possible and exhale into a large garbage bag.
Remember, people that don't smoke will ALWAYS smell it in you....especially moms,cops and girlfriends.

this would be ideal if you were smoking a bowl, but definitely not a joint. during the intervals between hits with a joint, alot of smoke is deposited into the air via the joint, obviously, meaning more smell.

I can't believe this thread is still alive, I'm sure there's lotsa good advice in here, but the best thing I've ever heard about this kinda thing is there's no way to cover smoke in a room you smoke in.

If you smoke, then there will be smoke and it'll smell like smoke.

I would drink a gallon of milk and puke all over myself. Then I would poop my pants. Let the smell build up for 5 minutes and light up! I guarantee this will work but if it doesn't they will be more concerned with the new "let the bodily fluids fly" lifestyle anyway. LMSAO.

There's no sure fire way of eliminating the smell of some shweed.. especially in one room. Every time I light a jay in a room, the space reeks for hours until the ac airs it through.. I'd say put a towel under the door, hold your hits as long as you can, blow them out the window.. smoking a bowl gives off waaay less smoke than a joint.. a joint constantly burns and'll make your room reek... febreeze dat shit, and make sure you have 5 hours to yourself.. takes that long for my room to start evaporating the smell

Seriously though, even if you manage to pull it off some--it won't last. There's no way to routinely get away with it unless the source of concern is really oblivious. Have you considered eating it? It's a pain in the butt (compared to vaping) but it lasts like 5 hours. Just a thought.
