hey guys, in the next month or 2 i will be getting about $3500 as part of my inheritance from my grandmother. im wanting to use this money on something fun instead of just spending it on some useless bunk i probably don't/will never need.
how hard would it be to do a trip to amsterdam on that or say even $2500. how do i get a passport? how much will it cost? when will i get it? how much should a plane ticket (round trip) cost if i fly out of Denver Co, or Wichita Ks? whats a cheap (CLEAN!) hotel in the city? is it close to the airport? is it close to a coffee shop? is there a city taxi service i can use to get around or will i have to get a map and ride the bus? keep in mind this would be my very first overseas trip and i'd like to stay for about a week. any usefull info you guys have just post it here. |

Just google "getting a passport in *name of state*". I do not have a passport but I think they are between $75 and $100?
Use a travel service and see if they can package airfare and your hotel to get the cheapest rate. I bet you can get some fantastic deals with the economy being what it is. Research your accommodations prior to committing. Although I've never been, I've been told that everything that you would want to see is all in close proximity. Most people bike there to get around. Rent a bike for a week. Weed is super good but super expensive as well. Since you can get REAL 3 hit and blazed out weed in reality you shouldn't need much. You will also need to spend some cash on meals, and that is where you can trim costs.

Google and the internet is your friend.
Just google Amsterdam trip and you'll find everything you need. I know back in the day they use to sell shrooms in Amsterdam too, they had these shrooming dens, I don't think they do that anymore. Oh and I heard of these space cakes, like lethal pot cookies. Anyways keep us updated and take lotsa pics. And I'm sure it's doable with your budget I've known people who did it for less.

my sis just got back from a backpacking trip in Europe she travelled to 10 countries in 4 weeks including Netherlands. She spent less than $5000,. Its all about finding the best deals. Stay in hostels, travel with other tourists so you can split costs or couch surf (couchsurfing.com) lol. it worked for her.
edit: all of this included a two way plane ticket from Toronto and a Eurorail pass to travel anywhere in Europe. edit#2: she also said that amsterdam was dirty and she will never go back lol
