Yeah I was trying to think of what a joint would do with it but I can't really wrap my mind around exactly what would happen. If there was any glass near the end of the joint it could be sucked into your mouth before it gets resiny.

Still I think you'd have to suck pretty hard to get it into your lungs.

I don't know about you but I always put my tongue in the way of my esophagus when I draw in smoke so that ash or a burning coal can't just fly into the back of my throat.

The glass found in weed in the UK, turned out to be the tiny practically microscopic glass beads they mix in with road paint, to help reflect headlights at night, presumably added for weight/aesthetics for idiots.

Afaik the only negative effect of smoking them is the possibility of getting a scratchy throat, from ingesting a few balls (giggity), no joint burns hot enough to render them inhalable.

I know of some dealers that will mix powdered glass with their buds to make em look more frosted, but man, thats bad stuff there. When you smoke it, the glass gets inhaled (Im not saying the heat of the cherry is hot enough to vaporize/melt glass, but powdered glass is inhalable just by hitting it.) and starts messing your lungs up. If your weed is ever cut, you will know. The only safeguard I know of is to buy only from people you can trust.

I know in the UK there's the grit herb which is apparently herb where they put bits of glass or small glass cinders used on asphalt roads into the herb.

I never got herb that had glass in it but I was around someone who was cleaning a large amount of mid grade herb and there was a small chunk of glass in it.

Sugar, seriously? I bought a half lb of regs a while back, the mother fucker tried to sell me a bag that was half wet tobacco or something. All brown, stringy, and wet. I got some better quality shit after I looked at it and said hell no, but that just goes to show you, people will try to rip you off even if your buying some weight.
