Glass in Your Weed?

I have been told that dealers will cut/mix there weed with glass products,sand or sugar to make them heavier and therefore more expensive, has anyone had any experience with this and no any ways to over come or spot the signs that this has been done.
Also any information on how dangerous this may be especially with any type of glass or glass based product being cut with the weed?

i have actually heard of this before from a couple friends in ireland and england. it sounds really gross and sneaky and although i have never seen it before i imagine it wouldn't be too hard to notice if you took a good look at it before buying. don't buy from anyone dodgy if you can avoid it.

i would say depending on what type of glass and how it is attached to the weed, it could range from being benign to being dangerous. i assume that if someone is actually doing this, they aren't worried about you or your health.

I first heard about this several years ago, and from what I heard it was really only happening in Europe. I also had heard that some people will spray the weed with fiberglass to add weight and give the appearance that it's higher quality. But smoking anything with any kind of glass can cause respiratory diseases which can become lethal. So if you buy something that's pretty damn sketchy like that, just don't smoke it and suck up your losses.

I promise you this is all government based rumors. If you can find weed with glass in it I would be surprised. Not saying NO ONE does it, but there's no way in hell it would be a popular thing...

I'm mainly worried that I will not be able to tell and could be smoking some relay dangerous weed.

ugh that just sounds evil. And I agree, I don't think a lot of dealers would do that simply because they would lose a significant amount of business.

if you are a somewhat experienced smoker you would definitely notice right away that something is up

yeah I've never seen weed with glass in it or anything, nor have I seen any pictures so I couldn't even give you some hints on what you should be looking for.

Well I would imagine most glass particles are too heavy to be carried with smoke. If you're using a pipe, most of the small particles that could be breathed in would probably get stuck in the resin in your pipe chamber or the ashes in the bowl.

A bong would be the safest way to go, but I'm not saying it's not dangerous.

I have had no problems whatsoeva with my weed up to now but as you can see I live in London and had heard that this was happening in Europe,I had also seen video's on you.ect and I know that it is very unlikely but I was just intrigued to see if this a happened to anyone on the forum.

i do know that the situation in some european countries, because weed is illegal and there is a high demand for it, that everything being sold gets bought by someone in the end and people end up with low quality stuff. there are places where it is legal, so people either get it from there, or else live with bad quality.

theres no reason for people to increase quality because it is expensive to do so. if they are making money any way, they might as well maximize their profits. i am not speaking about everyone selling weed in every country, of course, but i saw a bit of this element in a lot of places that i visited and lived. the quality in places where weed is considered legal (amsterdam and copenhagn) is about the same as i am used too in western canada.
