I'm glad there were no witnesses to the monstrosity I just rolled. Anyone who knows me knows I am a pipe smoker, or else preferably a bong if one is on hand.

Only once in a blue moon do I roll. Even rarer is it a blunt and not a joint. But this time I just sort of happened upon a lot of so-so weed and I put it in my mind to smoke it fat and fast. So to sweeten the deal the guy threw in some blunt wraps.

Well, given that I've probably rolled 4 blunts in my lifetime, this one was by far the worse than the already pathetic previous attempts.

It's the licking and the sticking that is my problem. And the ripping and the tongue debris. At least it still tastes like purple.

The "credit card" trick for getting the fold is how I was taught to roll and I still use it to this day, nearly a decade on (crap... I'm getting old, I can use the word "decade".).

Without a credit card I can just about roll, but its a monstrosity still. If I learn how to get my BlackBerry sync'd again I'll post a picture series explaining. The credit card method makes rolling so much easier, everyone I've taught it to still uses it.

I always cheated when I rolled blunts. I just took a swisher, freaked all the tobacco out, grinded up my weed and stuffed about 6g into it.

i can't roll a joint, but i can roll a perfect coner blunt. some suggestions:

- as many on here probably know, i'm particular about my blunts.. more specifically what qualifies size-wise.
in my opinion, a blunt should contain no less than an 8th. this is not at all intended to be pot-snobbish, it just makes it easier to roll.. not to mention fucking proper as fuck.

- don't grind the weed you're rolling in your blunt. ground powder is much tougher to roll than hand-busted product. just make sure it's not too fine, not too chunky, and consistent. consistency is the key.

- make sure you know where the glue is on the wrap before you start loading it up with weed and trying to roll it.. this seems pretty common-sensical and relatively minor, but it's a little thing that can be a big pain in the ass once you've got to empty your wrap, re-work it to a good state, and then load it back up again..

I second that, herbinator. There's nothing stupid about rolling an eighth into a blunt, that seems like the least a blunt should have to me. There's nothing wrong with cone blunts either, it's about personal preference anyways.

all i know is that i roll good blunts. and i think an 1/8th is a bit too much. 2g's tops in a swisher cigarillo.

now for a party or something i might pick up an actual cigar. In that situation an 1/8th is called for, i hardly ever roll em that big though.

and an 1/8th in a blunt is ridiculous. that wont even fit in an average sized blunt. it would literally be the size of a cuban cigar.

i use juicy blunts and true blunts [wraps] majority of the time. rarely if ever dry [cracked or will crack easy] like when using a cigar, and tend to be bigger than the cigarellos some of you were talking about using. if i wanted to smoke a couple grams, i'd get my buddy to roll a smoking masters or maiz.. can get 2g in 1 paper no problem..

it's all about having the right weed:wrap ratio.. not only will it be tastier, but it'll p much roll itself.

and on the quality of weed used in blunts: ya, i usually don't put my best bud in blunts unless it's a special occassion. don't use shake though. use average-good weed, maybe sprinkle some roaches busted up in there.. if you use your best weed, the end of your blunt will just clog up with resin and be a experience that you have to keep babysitting to keep unclogged.. + res-lips

coming from a locally renowned blunt roller, take these words of advice to heart:

1. get that shit wet/damp (especially for first timers)
   • not so wet it's going to drip
   • make sure outer-leaves and inner wrap are sealed together
2. roLL from the <----middle----> outwards to get it all compacted
3. once compacted, roll right-to-left or vise versa
4. i don't completely seal it as i go the first time, still working to compact it to fit the wrap
   • use a good amount of saliva on the newly created seam
     • all this saliva can be dried later with a well-positioned (read: moving) lighter.
5. ENJOY!

I just called it cheating because most people would go through the whole process of breaking the leaves, sealing the edges, etc. and I skip all of that. I like doing it that way though because if I were to actually roll a blunt, I'd end up using at least a dub that I could've used for two joints instead, if I'm gonna smoke a blunt I'm gonna make sure that it lasts a while so an eighth is minimum.
