Weed doesn't make the music sound good anymore

It used to be that weed would ALWAYS make music deep and hypnotic. Now it's like there is absolutely no effect at all. I hate it! Does anyone else have this problem? I'm sure I just need a break.

a break will help but i think youve just become acclimated to the "deep hypnotic" mindset so its not nearly as wonderous and "trippy"

i feel like ive gotten pretty used to being in an altered mental state, and as a consequence when i do smoke or trip or roll its not as... um... satisfying. not as magnificent, it doesnt conjur up the same kind of poetic reality that it once did. but i think thats the beauty of all these teachers; when the lesson has been taught you dont really need the chemical to achieve that poetic reality.

you need stronger weed or better music

didn't you make a thread about lady gaga or something? try listening to something other than commercialized pop music

a louder soundsystem will put you farther "inside" the music

do you ever blaze at concerts or festivals or even clubs or w/e
louder = more powerful effects

Eh, I kinda get it. I think mafoo was right in that it just gets to a point where it's just not that novel anymore. I do miss that though, that was the best.

Get new headphones(as in go get a set of nice semi-top of the line), a bag of something that you have never tried and a new bong...

Report your results...

Sony use, use, to make good products.

Now, forgetaboutit!

My 90's $30 Walkman and my $20 headphones sounded great and lasted.

I went to buy another pair of the MDR-30 or something like that,
same model type and they sucked!

Really "airy" faraway sound and excessive bass made for digital bass rap mp3 shit.

I returned the $50 Sony headphones
and bought a $3 headphones at the One Dollar Store.
They worked so much better.
Even Sound.
Much like the old headphones suprisingly.

Unless you are really serious,
get some $100 studio headphones
without all the digital bass enhancement.

Anybody have some good phone reviews?

Or maybe it makes you realize you listen to shitty music.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

Maybe you need to broaden your music horizons.

Sometimes it's hard to push new music on someone,
even if it's a close friend.

If someone gives you a song,
it more likely you would hear it if you had asked for it.

I wann hear this

as opposed to

You're gonna hear this

But going to the music store is chore enough
knowing allready what you want
and spacing out in the middle of the isle.

Ask your friends for music.
They should hook you up, as they try to impress.

Listen to some new music.

Oddly enough I don't like reggae at all when I've smoked and I find it rather annoying, but when I'm sober I can tolerate it.

a coincidence you should bring this up, because last night i was totally blitzed and i wanted to listen to music but i decided that the random shuffle playlist just wasn't going to cut it. so what i did was just *think* of a song that i wanted to hear and then put it on download. i had an epiphany that that is what i had been doing wrong for so long now.

see, back in the day, all i did was remember old songs that i liked and then listened to them as they came to mind. as the years went on i got lazy and just listed to my playlist over and over, wondering why music was getting boring.

listening to music while high hasn't gotten worse, i've just gotten lazier. all of these songs that i never listened to stoned were so exciting, i kept replaying them over and over.

I've noticed the opposite effect. Weed has made me enjoy music I don't really listen to when I'm sober.

Ive always been a rock/metal fan and never really listened to rap music. when I smoke at my friends place (who is the best blunt roller ever!) the music is always hip-hop. And Ive caught myself getting into a few songs while smoking. Strange huh?

Trees swaying in the wind, the sound of birds/crickets/cicadas, the bustling sounds of lawn mowers, dogs barking, and people in your neighborhood on a summer day.. Just everyday sounds that I find amazing after having just entered high land.

You just appreciate shit more when you're high. Same thing with music. You are apparently just not getting as high anymore. You need to lower your tolerance or buy better weed.
