Every day smoking is counter-productive, can we agree?

I say this not in a scolding manner but as someone who is guilty of every day smoking myself. Or at the very least let's say 25 out of 31 days per month. But a recent experiment of once per week has proven much more successful.
I enjoy outside stimuli much more. I enjoy inner dialoge much more. I enjoy the physical sensations much more. And not to mention that I get more done on the days off.

I think that smoking weed once or twice per week MAX is all a person needs. I also don't believe I am scientifically alone as it is commonly known that marijuana tolerance is un8iversal.

I find that the spiritual benefits of herb diminish when I smoke every day. Once or twice a week works best for me, as well. I wouldn't go so far as to say that this is true for everyone, but it's true for me.

I think you have absolutely no idea what anyone needs MAX for anything, let alone how much weed they smoke.

I think comparing what's right for you, to what should be right for others is foolish.

i love smoking weed every day. limiting it to evenings works well for me

although if i wanted to get seriously into the cannabis experience the ideal situation would be a bong bowl to the head on weekends. but i like the way pot helps me appreciate things, it makes me feel grrrrrrrreat!

I smoke to control seizures.
It's also great for the post-ictal phase.
So, for me, NOT smoking is counterproductive.

Green's too subjective to say for sure. For some people, every day is too much, they don't get their other shit done in favor of sitting and burning one down, for others it gives them the drive to go out and do their piece of shit job/life another day.

If I wake up and blaze I really focus my energy in having my shit together for the day on time/not slack off. Now this is when I have stuff to do. If I wake and bake on a Sunday or something I won't get shit done.

I find that I can do most things fairly well when high. Things that require quick thinking, memorization, multitasking, aren't as easy. Like I'll get high as shit and ride the tractor all day and be as happy as a clam.

i personally, disagree.

i feel like, with some self control, you can keep your life in balance, get your shit done and still enjoy some smoke everyday.

now if your day consists of loading the bong 15 times and sitting on the couch, you've entered the counter productive apathetic state.

everything is about balance

im more productive when im smoking everyday, on a schedule that ive set up over a large amount of time that allows me to be in the right state of mind for whatever it is im doing at the moment

makes homework easier, makes work more tolerable, i make much more creative music, etc

marijuana tolerance is universal but that has nothing to do with productivity. everyones body is different and handles the drug differently. tolerance, if anything, should be an advantage when smoking everyday because you are able to function more and maintain a clearer head than people who toke and trip out cuz they have no tolerance

See for me, when I smoke, I get peppier, I get more willing to do things that I'd rather not do, I.E. homework, going to class, cleaning up, exercising, etc. So for me, smoking weed everyday is productive and not smoking(while not exactly counter-productive) isn't as good a day for me.

I can't say for sure that prolonged smoking every day is good for me or not, as I rarely have enough pot to smoke every day for any length of time(usually a week or two at the most) but those days are very productive, positive days for me.

Writers block goes away when I'm high, I'm more responsive to constructive criticism, I make better and healthier choices all around. So I guess it's a person-by-person thing and can't really be grouped into one set or another, but I do see where you're coming from.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

Counter productive to getting high, basically. Neurologists (or w/e) have pretty much stated that tolerance to marijuana is very real and stunts the brains ability to produce dopamine and seratonen. What does that mean for the every day smoker? They are beating a dead horse. If you smoke every single day you are not getting your money's worth and you are having a weaker experience than the person who practices a little self control. The people who limit their smoking are getting higher and therefore having better experiences with marijuana, period.

By the way if smoking every day "helps" you do every day things then you are just plain crippled.

what's up Mr. High and mighty?

All this tolerance crap is effin stupid. It's weed man. Smoke it. If i wanna get weird I'll do some drugs. If wanna get stoned I smoke some weed. Are you like trying to "trip" on weed or something? Cause really that's not practical to my lifestyle. I rather like my tolerance to weed. I don't wanna get all baked and confused and lose my car keys every time I smoke a bowl.

For the record I usually smoke or vape a couple bowls per day. More If I'm not working or doing school stuff. Strictly vape in the evenings on busy days. This is the perfect balance for me. Currently I'm off work and about to get down on some serious math equations before I eat dinner and go to the bar or something and I'm also smoking a little bowl of the chronic.

I smoke everyday, and I get stoned every time I smoke, no problem, it's not like I struggle to get high or anything. I don't think I've worried about tolerance since I was 15 and smoking weed like it was crack.

That makes no sense

It would make sense if one were unable to do those things without smoking, but if smoking simply makes them more enjoyable and easier that doesnt mean your crippled at all. going by the definition of crippled of course.

Your first point concerning tolerance does make sense, but thats a choice you make when you decide to smoke everyday. you cant smoke everyday and have a low tolerance. not how nature works. But where you fail is linking smoking tolerance to ones ability to be productive. Is this thread about simply tolerance to cannabis or is it about being an everyday smoker while remaining a functioning positive person?

I dont mean to sound harsh here merc but to me it just sounds like you are unable to have the self control to smoke everyday and remain productive. which is not bad, many people are the same way. but not all people.
