The tragedy of stems is that you cannot smoke them. Or can you? I'm pretty sure you can't. I mean, marijuanan 101 clearly states that smoking stems is not to be done. So I never even tried! It was just de facto...


But what the fuck, I say!? I don't like picking out a big 'ol stem and writing it off as junk. I paid for the goddamn thing!!! Shouldn't I find some use for it? Surely there is some use for it.

Err how long have you been smoking weed Mercury ?

There is a minimal amount of THC as there are few small trichs only on the stems, there is even less THC present within the stems.

If you smoke them it will have minimal effect apart from giving you a headache.

There isn't really enough THC to justify trying to make bubble hash.

You can make oil from stems but you need a lot, the returns are minimal.

I've heard if you have a lot of stems you can soak them in vodka, 151, or everclear and extract the THC into the alcohol and get high from it. Look up how to make green dragon.

The real tragedy of stems is you end up getting shortchanged when you realize the nice fat bag you just bought has several grams of stems that you paid for, and it's not like dealers toss in a little extra to make up for the dead weight...least none of the ones I know.

Well I only smoke dank, so I typically save up the stems and then when I'm starting to get low on weed I'll stick them in my grinder with a keif catcher and just collect that shit. It's not as strong as keif from buds, but it will definitely get you high if you have nothing. Or if you're like me it will help extend the life of your weed.

after i get the buds and other chores i need done,I love to throw some leaves and stems in the grill when i am cooking,helps to get rid of some of the trash i have ended up with,too bad we cant collect all of them and donate it to somebody who has another use for them,it gets rid of any material that could be used against you or yours?

Always look at what you're buying before you part from the seller. If there's a shit load of stems, demand more bud. Sellers want the money, and they're already there. They will comply.

I use to throw out stems, etc. I'll never do that again. After recent research, I'd say make some honey hash. Honey oil made easy is a good link. Process seems pretty straight forward.
