I don't scrape glass pipes. After breaking a couple nice pieces just for the resin I came to the conclusion it just isn't worth it. I use an ultra sonic cleaner for all my glass.

The only thing I collect resin out of is my one hitter. I just put a clothes hanger through it and it all comes out like a turd. I save it on a spoon in one of those glad containers. I smoke it if the occasion calls for it.

I'm a cleaner, I don't have troubles getting herbs for like the last 5 years. But I have certainly had my share of resin hits back in the day.

I have Alconox, but never used it on my pipes. Plain water seems to work just fine. If the USC doesn't get all the resin out, I take one of those small flexible wired brushes and keep scrubbing the inside of the pipe while running water through it from the sink. This combination usually makes them look almost new.

But yeah, having an ultrasonic cleaner helps out a lot. Even when using just water.

All this talk of resin and buying golf ball sized tar piles is giving me a headache. That's gross shit people. Why don't you buy a vape. You can scrape a vape wand and maintain dignity. Plus you can keep all that abv.

I scrape my pipes/bong stem and bowl with a knife when needed and advise against smoking resin..
I don't get headaches but it gives me a 'dumb' high and couch lock

In happier, more abundant times i cleaned---since I've moved I've been scraping the res and rolling it with kief--does the trick but i am missing my clean pipe fuel (so are my lungs)

I scrape my pipe to smoke when I'm out and desperate. Smells and tastes like shit, and is a "dirtier" high, but I don't much mind it.

The fiancee on the other hand isn't fond of it at all.
