When did you start smoking pot?

16, beginning junior year. What about you?

New member here - just so I could post on this topic. I was 13 years old, on my first visit to California for the summer to see my Dad. My buddies across the street were Mexican/Navajo kids and had smoked since they were like 10 years old :-P This was 1972, by the way. I got my first "lid" for 10 bucks, about 4 fingers in a baggie, of Acapulco Gold! I really didn't get much of a buzz the first time, but the next day after smoking about half a joint I was FLOATING! Me and Mary Jane have been going steady ever since, and knock on wood, I've never been busted and I'm 51 years old! I tried some acid back in the 70s, purple and yellow sunshine, some microdot, windowpane, but only dropped maybe 40-50 times in my life, and I stopped dropping by the time I was 22 or 23. By then it was all blotter acid and I didn't know who was making it, so I didn't trust it. Was the same with crystal meth - I tried it when I lived in Santa Clara Cali. in the mid 80s, since I knew someone who had access to the chem lab at Stanford and made really good quality stuff. But that only lasted a few months while I was on the swing shift, and after that I never tried the "bathtub" stuff - again, not trusting where it came from.

But I digress...that's my whole drug history instead of "just" pot! MJ is the only thing I have done since the late 80s, and I don't feel like I've missed anything, and pot still does the trick! Thanks for asking!

If you start another thread and make a new poll I can merge the posts but not the data of the poll. I don't believe we can change the poll like that, at least I can't.

Report the new post and old post then I'll merge them in the morning.

If you want. other wise. proceed as usual.

I smoked some really shitty has when I was 15, never even got a buzz. The next time I smoked I was 18 at some chick's birthday party, and man did I ever get baked! I smoked a bit here and there after that, and started smoking on the regular when I was 19, and except for a few periods of drought, it's been daily since then.

I started blazing my freshman year of high school. Actually I can remember the day, it was the weekend before I started high school. That would be late summer, 2004. Good times.

Wow I can't believe it's been 6 years.

The summer between Grade 4 and 5. I was staying with my sister for the summer and her bf and his nephew were living there. He was like 19 or something. He kinda took me under his wing and let me hang with him. He smoked shit-tons of weed and after many contact highs, I finally asked if I could join in.

I smoked my first joint the summer I turned 13 (1994), was interesting but didn't become a daily toker until my freshman year, took a bit of a break when I joined the air force, didn't smoke again until 2006 after I got out, since then daily =P

do we even need a public poll? probably not, if they want to add their name to the age they started smoking, they can do so in a post, yes?

I just feel old when I realize most of you started smoking in the 90s, and you're still just in your 20s! Hey - I hope you ALL live as long though! Peace & G'nite!
