I clean my glass pipe out when I run out of weed as I smoke the resin. I also get high from that. Most of the time its a week maybe two. I use a paper clip to scrape it out and dosent harm the bowl.

I clean my peice once or twice a month, depending on weed usage, I usually only clean it when I have a dry spell...

My main piece is a Magic Flight Launch Box though. I love vaporization for the fact that it doesn't make smelly, tarry-ass resin. I clean it once a week. It doesn't really affect the taste when I don't but it runs more efficiently when its sparkly clean. It usually gets loaded up with two full trenches which I'll puff at through out the day to keep a steady, mellow buzz going. I'm trying to figure out a way to attach it to the Roor so I can have the hard hitting bong rips with the cleanness of vapor(and I wouldn't have to clean my bong as much lol.

I went halfsies with my brother on a Roor a few weeks ago. That shit gets cleaned after EVERY use and has a glass filter in it to cut down on ash falling through into the water. It's more of a special occasion piece though. I find dirty bongs to be a MAJOR turn off for me. I used to chiil over at a dealer's place who had a 30" bong... that never got cleaned. On the few occasions that I used it it was like torture to me. A bong is meant to be a 'clean', water filtered smoking experience. I absolutely hate that taste of stale, filthy, ashy bong water and cringe just thinking about it. It's like smoking a wet ash tray. I can handle the taste of a dirty pipe but as soon as you add water into the mix shit gets rancid in a hurry. If you're not prepared to clean your bong you shouldn't own a bong.

My pipes usually go a while In between cleaning sessions. Like, months. I really don't use them much anymore but I don't like having to rely on using a screen and I certainly don't like sucking burning ember weed into my mouth. I like having that buffer of resin to catch everything for me on the off chance something gets sucked through. If I'm smoking out of them though it's never for flavor or a 'clean' smoking experience. It's for convenience.

I clean most of my bowls on a monthly basis,I have a bunch and I'm always smoking outta different ones but,I have one piece that I keep dirty...was my first bowl,have had it for 10+ years never cleaned it....I've had to remove some resin over the years as it got clogged but never fully cleaned it.I have multiple bowls so I have pretty much retired her,but do smoke from it about once a week......I really just keep it around for emergencys when I can't find anything or have to wait a few days to get my fresh supply.....its crazy cause I've smoked a lot of stuff out of it over the years.......tons of opium,DMT,salvia...a few others I'm not so proud of(those days are behind me,only drug I use now is the MJ).... a couple rips from that bad boy and your A OK.....it does the trick....

I tell ya, i didn't used to be one much for cleaning, but since I've started smoking non-glass pipes, running a pipe cleaner through the stem and shank really makes smoking more pleasurable.

I really like meerschaum, it's kinda like glass in that there's no taste aside from what you're smoking, and they're usually elaborately carved, and take on the appearance of age-worn ivory over time.

They are delicate, you can't clean them until they cool, and your hands need to be clean so dirt and oil stay out of the matrix, but they are really neat pipes.

this is what i'm smoking out of atm, only with a carved lattice exterior, not smooth.

I clean my chillum every few months. As for my bong, I change the water once a day pretty much. Then every couple weeks I let the area with the percs(fixed downstem w/ 8 arm tree) soak in 90% isopropyl alcohol overnight. That and an ashcatcher, and it always looks magnificent.
