Choppy vision?

Hey yahookans, got a pretty serious question. The last week and a half my vision has been an issue with me. When I drive, i feel like I can't focus on the car in front of me very where. When a car is passing me the opposite way,

Watching the car makes it seem like when you close one eye then look at something from a different eye, it kinda jumps to a different spot in your central view because of the change of point of view cause each eye sees it from a different angle just by a little.

Well it does that without me closing any eyes. And it does it really fast so it kind of eventually blurs the car and I can't tell where exactly it is.

When I was driving home tonight through the city, the lights of a car passing on my right side added to that choppy effect and the extreme glare of all the street lights almost made it impossible for me to see. It was like everything was blurring together. It almost makes me a little bit nauseous.

Now, its just now started going on, right about the same time frame as I started smoking this weed that my dealer said is legit white rhino.

I wanted to say this is a side effect of the bud, as right after I smoke it gives me visual effects. I did have LASIC in 2007. Right now my mind is saying, retinal separation, mild epilepsy, or residual effects of pot and I'm paranoid.

Opinions?

My opinion is don't drive... you else you might not have a chance to even have eye problems anymore.....

When I had laser correction and talked about detachment they said it would be like flashes of light in my vision....

Yeah I'm trying to stay from behind the wheel, but I have to work and go to class. I'm not failing courses because my eyes are messing up some. I just can't afford to fail.

Nope, just moved here, and I have a 40 minute commute each day. I dont know if a doctors trip is too extreme for if I should wait it out.

The way you describe your vision, it sounds like the same thing that happens when my contacts stick under my eye lids. I got pretty nasty astigmatism, so the lens gets stuck half on my pupil, half not.

Please listen to Sage man, I mean it's your god damned eyes. Not a baby toe, not even a finger, your fucking eyes. Blindfold yourself for 12 hours if you need any more convincing. Please go have this looked at your vision is one of the most precious gifts you have, protect it at any cost. Hopefully is minor and easily fixable, I wouldn't rule out the idea of going to the emergency room to get the on call optometrist to take a look they might be able to help or at least stop and potential further damage while you get a appointment with a specialist.

if you've had lasic surgery and are having these symptoms you are really stupid not to go to the doc asap.

retinal detachment usually manifests as seeing what looks like flashes or lightning bolts. id recomend getting your eyes dialated and examined by and optometrist or opthamalogist.

it could also be a vitamin deficiency. i noticed my eyes tend to wiggle a little bit from time to time, i actually see little dots when it happens at night looking at LED car tail lights.

I get tracers whenever I look at a light source. Halos around the TV, streaks coming out of light bulbs. Its like, my own personal light show!

Yeah I'm planning on making a doctors appt as soon as I can get one scheduled. Yeah it's not tracers. It's definitely a focusing problem, and as far as the choppy part go, it's almost like my eyes are seizing up. It' pretty crazy.

Thanks for the good advice guys. I just feel like a hypochondriac every time I think there is something wrong with me.

yes, sage i still work at the optometrist.

as for feeling like a hypochondriac, dont. you are the only one who can feel the sensations of your body and if something feels off its usually an indication of some sort of problem. in this case it could be many things from simple vitamin deficiency all the way to nerve problems or even problems with your mental health. so the first step is to get a routine dilation with your optometrist or opthamologist, if that test shows nothing then you can check on other possible causes.

no sense allowing yourself to develope anxiety because you are worried about possibly being a hypochondriac

great advice mafoo.

yeah I definitely have had something similar happen. If I focus on something really hard my eyes will twitch, it's a really freaky feeling.

Maybe you are just really stressed out, is that possible? I definitely think you should take mafoos advice, get into an optometrist.

I've seen tracers, flashing lights, floaters, "wiggly focusing problems".

My eye presure is high when I don't smoke large quantities of cannabis.

I'm currently on the milder form of twice daily eye drops.

I have retinal thinning , no detachment yet.

and slight optic nerve damage.

aka...glaucome.

...I often see naked women , dancing too...
