lol of course i would run from the draft. I even plan to move to canada as soon as i can tbh. I would dodge a canadian draft too.

If i was to enlist im sure they would take me. The US military takes whoever they can. The more willing pawns the better.
I could kill my first man and have my first friend brutally die before my eyes, all before i could legally buy a cigarette...

I'm well aware of this and it's something that was enforced the best that it could be. If people didn't put their year or birthday at all, it makes it hard to see who is 'of age'.... but mainly if people are spouting off and acting the fool telling people how young they are, we usually PM them, and ban them until their 18th birthday, but in all fairness, I usually give them a chance to tight up their behabiour a little first.

Not to make a pun, but it's an 'above board' thing, since we are running a site based on illegal plant material Figure the last thing we want is being charged with any kind of perpetuation of illegal activity to minors or something.

You are nearly correct.
I'd have said.
"we (you) are running a site that gives people who oppose mandatory drug testing (of a substance that should not be illegal to begin with) options and information"

the forums are the gravy on that whole pile of mashed potatoes.
sorry test clear...you are the meat.

that being said, there should be no age limit on the discussion of freely available material.

took some time to realize this, but it's all good.

Neither the site nor it's forums, can control someone who choses to lie when registering.
In fact the Quran/Islam condones lies depending in the situation.

Takiyya means "caution, fear, or disguise." It permits the suspension, as the need arises, of almost any or all religious requirements--including a total denial of faith--when fearing threat, injury or compulsion of any kind in a non-Muslim society, or even in a Muslim society.

Kitman is close to Taqqiya but rather than outright dissimulation, it consists in telling only part of the truth, with “mental reservation” justifying the omission of the rest (adjustment, deception etc, anything short of a full-blown lie). For example when a Muslim maintains that “jihad” really means “a spiritual struggle” and fails to add that this particular definition is a recent invention in Islam [2](little more than a century old), he misleads by holding back the true violent nature of jihad, and is therefore practicing “kitman.” Another example would be the insistence of a Muslim apologist that “of course” there is the freedom of conscience in Islam, followed by quoting the Qur’anic verse “There shall be no compulsion in religion.” The impression given is false, for there has been no mention of the Islamic doctrine of abrogation, or naskh.
.................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... ...
In his Sira, Muhammad authorized lying to improve the chances of successful assassinations, for example in the case of Shaaban Ibn Khalid al-Hazly and Bin Kaab.

Muhammad said: "Lying is wrong, except in three things: the lie of a man to his wife to make her content with him; a lie to an enemy, for war is deception; or a lie to settle trouble between people"

which covers just about any topic.

If it wasnt for yahooka i probably would have ended up smoking pot out of a homemade pvc pipe and gotten cancer or something.

The majority of the board is based on education and harm reduction. Why limit that to those old enough for it to be too late...

Roach, I enjoy your indulging me with Religious lore to prove your point
But basically I agree, and the forums ARE accessible to people underage, as there is no 'proof' of age to get in, merely your word.

Like I said to Roach, there is no absolute method to tell. Which is why I said earlier about first giving people the chance to be a little quiet about it, which enforces that we have some standard of maturity here, albeit little.

I don't care that folks under 18 are here, and I KNOW it's good to have the information spread far and wide, but you don't actually have to be a member to see it, btw.

The number of people I've actually had to give a short ban to, personally speaking is '2'. And the '18' thing was used mostly because their behaviour was crap.

I know things used to be a lot different in terms of who could join, and I'll hold my opinions about the challenges of having a mostly under 16-18 base was... if you were here, I'm sure you know what I am talking about.
THAT no doubt had an influence of the '18' policy.
Which I'll remark again is hardly ever 'known of', therefore hardly enforced.

I ask people to keep their age under their hat/change their birth year and things like that first, like I said, because most people can handle being here that are under age.

It's not absolutism, like all things here at Yahooka, we strive to deal with things on a member to member basis.

So don't worry.. .there ARE '18' year old here that you likely don't even know about

17 eh? Still about 3-5 years older than most.

'ha'.... did you 'fleece us'?

Well... at that point it wasn't a rule.... and honestly.... if anyone who isn't a fool and underage I could care less.... I have PLENTY of overage fools to keep my eye on

It's testclear(.com)

While I think it had more to do with what the pop. of members at the time were doing with their membership, I DO also feel this was something TC suggested...

I'm not sure but as underage people can look with out signing up, thus getting resources, I don't see a HUGE problem.
It's not like a beer.com site where you have to 'tell them your birthday' (although can obviously lie as well)
People are free to browse, and if I see a person mentioning their age, I ask them to refrain from it, and find out when they'll be 18.
Generally people tone it down just fine...
However I DO have their birthday at that point in case I feel the need to pull the brakes.

If it's a major enough concern, I welcome a thread in Feed Back forum so other Mods can share their thoughts and listen to yours.
