i believe it is all about the teenagers maturitty! my younger sis is 14 and she smokes with me, my other sis, and my dad! my father believes that you should be at least sixteen to smoke but when it comes to my sisters and i he believes that we have strong enough minds to make our own decissions! what do ya all think???????????????

14 is a little young, in my book. I would have to say at least 18. As a parent I do not think I would ever condone it. As long as my kids where not being shitheads about it I do not think it would hassle them.

im kinda with adventure. i think 14 is young, i know a person of that age has alot of physical and mental developing yet to come, so it might not be good to pick up a "hobby" like getting high. i know for me, when i was 16 or 17 i started, i probably could have done without the desire to get high all the time. i think i still manage ok, but i could see how a person would fall into just wanting to be stoned all day instead of going out and socializing or whatnot. i guess it depends on the person

shes actually really good about it though! she wont smoke till all her homework is done (and that is of her own doing) she also keeps all her grades above cs

I see where you're coming from...about you starting at age 13, so how can you preach about waiting until age 18? I somewhat agree, but the entire era is way different when you 1st partook of puff-puff.
Now, especially me starting in 1969 at age 15. The times were immensely different than presently. We were mini-hipsters & all 1 needed to survive is a pair of Levi's, T-shirts & flannel shirts in the Chicago winters, plus a nice army jacket or I preferred 1 of those leather flight jackets. I picked 1 up at an Army Surplus Store for $40.
Nowadays, though, I'd have to say age 16 at the very least (if they're keeping all grades a B or better) & if they're a real fuck-up, at age 18, give them the old ultimatum -- get a job, help with the household finances, or find your own crib. Harsh? Could be...but they gotta learn that nothing comes free & easy in this fucked-up, harsh & non-forgiving world.
