Are chips the most quintessential munchie?

I know there's been lots of munchies threads.

I just want to get a concensus on what is the most popular stand-by munchie ever?

I think it's probably chips, like Doritos or Lays. I think those kinds of chips are the most typical munchie because you can get a bag of chips anywhere for relatively cheap. Also, they are kind of substantial (but then again not really) and full of flavor too.

Some might argue that ice cream, cookies or candy is more widely used than chips, but I highly doubt it.

So... is it chips?

Definitely chips. Doesn't matter to narrow down a brand since there are always many to choose from in any munchie requiring circumstance.

I try to plan it out... Chips and then something sweet. If i just eat and eat something salty sooner or later I am going to want something sweet. But if i had to pick I would go with the chips... BBQ!

Getting a Mandolin this week...hoping to make some bomb homemade potato chips...I hate having to keep throwing away bags that are half full and are gone within the hour

chips give me a stomach ache after a while, also i think the kind with lots of seasoning gives me break outs. fucking too much of a good thing shit.
