I don't know what kind of buds your getting for $200....but obviously we must be on different pages in regards to quality.....$200 for some high end buds is like a half OZ.....at least in this part of NJ

Canadian prices are a little different, although i pay 220 for an oz of the highest quality around here in t.o. I also grow my own so paying prices like that is far and few between but it happens.

The most I've ever payed for an oz is $220, and thats only because I owed him $20 from last time, I usually pay around $170-$180. It really depends on who you know in Kingston, I've got them for $150 before.

I apologize, but I couldn't pass this up without commenting = A good pal of yours that also grows is charging you $350 an oz? Not sure how much weed sells where you reside, but I can't see where this dude is cutting you any slack.
Granted, he has his costs...but a 'good friend' of a grower should get a way better price than $350/oz!! Maybe $250, but I'd say $200 to a close buddy of a grower is par for the course.

I pay $170-$200 an oz, usually. That's for medical quality, and my guy usually gives it to me for what he pays. He's a good guy as far as drug dealers go. Now, I've gotten some killer deals before. Like he sold me a PK plant that was 5 weeks into flowering already (she was loverly) for $50 and didn't want any of the harvest back in return. I've gotten cheap oz's that are mostly popcorn buds or are untrimmed and the cost is low enough that I can make it into hash w/o losing my investment.

For me, these are the best prices that I've found in my years of smoking in the area for that quality. I know that they're not giving me a huge price break, they drop it $25 for their good friends. And honestly, I don't have a problem paying for that, especially considering how much they've helped me in the past when I had hard times. Also, this is how they make their money and pay for rent on two places so I'm more willing to pay a bit to help them out.

I've seen medicinal quality sell for $400-$450 an ounce here, and you can occasionally get shwag as cheap as $20-$40 an ounce. Texas has a pretty wide range in prices.

I can get a OZ right now for $35.......but its the worst brown and down mexican brick shit ever....huge stems.....a million seeds.....its like its coming from a field with no male female seperation.......I refuse to buy it.....like what's the point it tastes like shit and you gotta smoke like 3 joints to feel anything.....then your left with a horrible headache.......I don't come from very wealthy background and either do my friends....they think I'm crazy spending 380 a OZ for high quality buds.....one of my boys actually told me he doesn't think there's any difference between the mexicand shit and the quallity shit....say oh it all gets you high......I just don't understand how they're content to smoke that crap

NJ, your mention of the Mex reminded me of something curious, and maybe it's just my leaky old brain but - back in the 70's when the U.S. was behind the paraquat spraying in Mexico, I DO remember some of the outfall, but not the final result - except that we all supported the "Buy American" program after that. Paraquat is a no till herbicide that kills humans - like just a teaspoon or so - and our government said, awww fuck 'em, they aren't supposed to be smokin' dat shit anyway. They sprayed, people smoked, and I DO remember many years later the EU banned the shit completely, and they showed that it definitely fed Parkinson's Disease. My quandary is, I know when they started spraying it, but when if ever did they stop? It's still like the biggest selling herbicide in the third world, so you know that means it's being shipped by America to every third world nation where weed is likely grown.

Just curious if anybody knew the rest of the story, since I can't find enough shit to be paranoid about.

And remind me to tell Komp, that's another fucked up reason the EPA eats ass. They are the ones that came out and swore that smokin' 'quat couldn't hurt you. Their claim was that - now think real hard about the bullshit they are shovelin' here - since it was being burned as the MJ that it was on was being smoked... all of the deadly compounds were being rendered inert? Fuckin' huh?

I slept through chem, but last I heard, other than bangin' shit straight into my jugular, inhaling something that I lit in a bowl was a pretty effective alternative. Am I just bein' a dumbass, or am I to believe that my government lied to me again?
