hi everyone. I came across this site years ago and registered like, yesterday. I quit smoking because the state of California made me, but I miss the lifestyle (or parts of it, mind you) I miss picking out a new piece, scoring and eight with my friends, smoking and watching mythbusters...thing is, I don't know if i'll start again because my life had gotten a WHOLE lot better scince I quit. Let me put it this way: I failed at least six semesters of community college even though I got out of high school a year early (GED) and it's only been in the past two semesters that I've gotten an A. I hadn't gotten any proper excercize since the Clinton administration and now I have a yellow belt-level judoka. I bitched about the man and never did anything and today I'm involved in the community. THing is, I don't want to lose that if I start smoking, so I guess i'm looking for feedback on that.

Yes .....I hit the big "60" this summer and it is breaking my heart.....boo hoo....but I don't look as bad as that lady in the picture above. Baby Boomers are now retiring and starting to smoke pot again. ....AND NO MORE DAMN DRUG TESTING....WOOT!!!!! !

Particularly rough when you are an RN and drug test often in the clinical environment...... But I am using my voice now for this cause. It was an RN who helped get MMJ legalized in Rhode Island ya know?

And I see many people who MMJ benefits. But as I see it many of the the pot smokers are hurting the cause.

But just because I am old don't mean life is OVER! BABY BOOMERS WON'T retire like their parents did....to the rocking chairs......HELL NO!!
Actually I am now flying ultra-light planes at 10,000 ft ''''scary indeed!

My gentleman friends passion and hobby actually. BUT I am a risk taker.......So body is getting old and brain is still young.

So you young stoners please show respect to us that were brave enough to be there in the sixties protesting our parents values and mores! No one will equal my generation again.

why am I here?

Get advice on some genetic issues, as well as tips on growing.

Give advice to people asking about medications on this site.

Amen to that, my fellow Boomer!! I'm glad to see another person from our generation around the place. Hit the big 6-0, huh? That's beautiful!!
I agree that we have an excellent generation...we go back to when there was only 3 channels on TV, no technology yet [calculators, cellphones, computers, video games, etc]...we had more adventures travelling the USA & Mexico than this generation will ever have.
They really can't hitch-hike anymore, for fear of the people who might give them a ride being total maniacs. Plus when we were in the work-force [I'm retired], there was no such thing as piss-tests for employment. We're the last of the 'pre-technology' generations, but I'll bet we had more fun experiencing life 1st hand than the latter generations. 1 cross-country trip I took was almost 2 yrs long...& ventured deep into Mexico. I only wish I would've kept a journal, as I'm sure I've forgotten a bunch of fun I had. Of course, a lot of drug-ingesting might play a small part in my memory-lapse.
Anyhow, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Yes.....I am retired also....but help out my kids with the grandkids. Enjoying life and freedom from working and raising children. My S/O[gentleman friend ] retires next year and we plan to travel and go on jaunts in his ultra-light plane.

But I am active here in my state for the MMJ cause and happy to be back toking after all those years of random drug testing........ I suspect many Boomers will be returning to weed to help with the illnesses of aging. I also like to keep up on what the young are doing so my grandkids can't BS me.....I learned about robotripping and skittling from pot forums.
Some of the young stoners are rude and disrespectful to us older stoners I find though.......already have encountered a snotty little pea brain on this site.

But it would be nice if somebody started an older generation stoner site.

But nice to meet you and I love to debate politics also.....looks like McCain and Obama are the two we can pick from....God help the old USA!!!!!!!!

Nice to meet a fellow older stoner here.

The Lord came to Yahooka about one Earth year ago, as The Lord's father suffers from Parkinson's. Dad sayeth he'd like to try the Holy Herb and see if it wouldn't help calmeth his jumpy leg. The Lord learneth on Yahooka, all knowledge needed to buildeth a nice little SOG operation, and has raiseth many beautiful daughters.

The Lord thanketh all thy lovely Yahookans who wouldst share their vast knowledge! Blessed are the famers.

Jesus H.

ps. Oh, and although Dad didst try once the Holy Bong of Heaven (for which was the only reason The Lord doth groweth,) Dad didst also immediately cry out: "Ye and unto thee I seeest snakes and evil things! Damn thee evil things and awayeth with thee!"

We're gonna try brownies next time.

i am here to interact with others like myself

there is nothing better than coming home from a 12 hour back breaking shift to your crappy trailer in your crappy car with a big smile on your face about the fresh green full bowl waiting for you on your coffee table. i miss my crappy trailer

i have an okay job right now. im 20. live with my parents untill i finish college...again. (moved out last year. 3 wonderous months.) i work 3 days a week. fri-sun (10hr shifts). mon-thurs i have all the time in the world to be a lazy sack of shitaki mushrooms watching old cartoons on my old VHS player, listening to music, new and old, on my record player, reading, drawing and surfing the net... Oh, and getting high

i've been a smoker for 6 years and im looking forward to another 60 good tokin' years

i'm looking forward to chatting, debating and discussing various topics, both marijuana and non-marijuana relations.

see you around!

I typed "things to do while high" into Google and looked at a few different marijuana-centric message boards. Pretty much liked this one the best, particularly the name and logo.

Used to be a daily toker but stopped about 4yrs ago. Got sick of schelping into Manhattan (or the Bronx) from Jersey and dealing with shady people and trying to avoid cops. What a buzz kill! But lately i've been thinking it would be nice to have some around for a rainy day. Which brings me here.

Yeah that is what I had to do while in the NE in 85-86. I knew nobody there and am from Texas and was an oddity in NY in those days. I was there when John Gotti bumped off Castellano that day. And they call Texas
"the wild west" lol....Welcome.....a s I am new here too and a few a holes everywhere.......but yahookans don't seem bad so far. MARIHEMP is now deader than a doornail,,,,,,and the mod don't like unfuckable women.....

Pot boards are great to meet stoner women I guess. Florida is easy to aquire good weed. You can actually get it delivered in the mail....BUT BECAUSE OF MY PROFESSION I am too chicken to do that.
BUT MOM is big bizness these days and LEO can'ty seem to stop it though,,MMJ is making progress also thanks to "stoners with balls" who get out front in the movement INSTEAD of just whining about illegal status...

IF YA DON'T LIKE THE LAWS......work to change them stoners.....lots of us out here.Welcome .....

Yeah Crunchy.....it is good to find a good board to hang out on with fellow stoners. I was on another one several years that has lost its appeal....changin' crowd. We need an "older stoners site" but I think someone told me about one I will try though. Welcome here though.
