Hello folks - I was actually given a link to this forum for music, from a music forum I post at. Looks like fun. I haven't smoked since thanksgiving dinner, when my friends put a bong on the table right next to the turkey so I figured I had to take a rip. I like smoking pot, but my job has been threatening randoms so I've been cutting back. I'm gonna ditch them in about a month and get back to school so I can get high again! I've got a fucking 3.8 GPA smoking all through college, so it's all good. Anyway, I'm grabbing some special files u'led on that thread, so I figured the least I could do would be to register, throw some more shit up in return for the good karma. and talking about getting stoned is fun too.

I am here to spread the message about the critical need for COMPASSIONATE USE of MEDICAL MARIJUANA...I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005, and Epliepsy back in 1996... I have been a long time user of MM, and since moving to N.Y. from Alaska- where I was legalized to use MM for my symptoms and pain- I realize what a fucking horrible state of affairs MM use is - in the 37 states where MM isn't legal-I am a concidered a CRIMINAL, and not someone who is simply chronically ill, and slowly dying...:bigblunt:

But an innocent plant that's never harmed anyone will put you behind bars for years!! Does this sound totally ridiculous? Is this govt ever going to realize that the 1st Prohibition only created Organized Crime & this 2nd Prohibition is causing many to suffer pain needlessly, line the pockets of street thugs [except for the superb growers I know...they're just helping the peeps who live in non-Medical MJ States] & put otherwise innocent people in prison.
My nephew got 2 yrs in prison for selling a 1/4 oz to an undercover MP. He'd see child molesters & rapists come & go before his sentence was even close to ending. What kind of sense does this make? Why can't govt officials realize the stupidity of all this?
I've got spinal-stenosis & my pain management doc is on the same wave-length as we are. He said if this State were to ever go 'Medical MJ', I got a scrip waiting. In the meantime, a few growers comp me my weed to help ease the pain. I hope 1 day before I die, I see total Legalization. 30 yrs ago, I thought by now we'd have legal weed. Now? I doubt it.

The reason it isn't legal is because people our age didn't sustain the fight. And every age group before us, and after us, is guilty of the same thing. I remember watching John Stewart talking about when he quit smoking pot. He sarcastically said it was when he got a job. Like maintaining a job and smoking pot were incompatible. I'm sure you know people who think they "outgrew" pot and can't understand why you still smoke. There's a stigma attached to pot smokers that hasn't changed and doesn't seem like it will in the near future. Hence, we'll be dead before pot will be legal but at this point who gives a fuck?
