So is there a forum specifically for parents and/or family issues and MJ? or is it kind of all over the place...

Welcome Doc. Hey, what do you do when weed gets boring? A break is the only solution I've found and it's not very satisfactory. Have a nice day. Otto

Ta muchly for the welcome Otto

What do I do when weed gets boring? I do something interesting of course...find my way into an abandoned asylum and take pictures; work on improving new songs to record; think up evil things to tease my girlfriend with muwahahahaaaa!! to name just three things that I find interesting.

How about you Otto what do you do when you're 'having a break' that you don't do when you're tokin'?

Am so very jealous of this. Having a job at a dispensary would be pretty amazing.

I try to convince myself there is a point to all of this. If death turns out to be the end then this is just some joy punctuated by a lot of crap and stress. Other than that I'm a disabled househusband who feels inferior as a parent--in short order I forget and remember how beautiful my girls are to me. Maybe it's too much info but I wouldn't bother if it weren't for them. Nevermind.

My name is Bud

High!

My name is Bud, and I like to use marijuana on a regular basis. I'm in upper management at a medium size corporation, and I'm quite successful. I have been a pot smoker for 25 years with no problems except for those holier than thou types who think everything's a sin. Never any health problems, I stay in shape, and I am a marijuana rights activist. I'm here because it's time for me to join a community that accepts my use of marijuana without judging me for it. Legalization will happen in my lifetime.

Gotta go have a toke,
Bud

Mr. O - Just remember how much joy being a parent brings! My wife just had my first daughter two weeks ago, and it is really effecting my outlook on life.

I've been tokin since 1969 & lived in Denver in 1974...when a handful of States started 'decriminalizing' anything 'under 1 oz = $25 citation'. I think there were 9 or 11 States on the same wave-length & I was thrilled with this decision.
I told everyone by 1980, peeps 21+ yrs of age will be able to buy packs of joints in liquor stores...the feds can tax the hell out of it...make themselves some righteous bucks & also eliminate 'street-thugs' selling dimebags to everyone.
Well, Nancy Reagan came into the picture with her 'Just Say No' horseshit & set us back decades!! But OK, by 1990, the govt has GOT to see the mistakes made with the Prohibition Act of 1919 [that basically got organized crime funded & made them a fortune bootlegging] & just legalize it.
NO AGAIN!! WTF?? OK, by 2000/2001 [the 21st century], the general population HAS to come to their senses & legalize a substance that's never killed a single person...while how many hundreds of thousands of people die each year from alcohol & tobacco? Fuckin NO again!!
2010? Ya think?... ...I know I won't live long enough to see the day.

Ugh! I was having a bad spell. I'd say day but i usually snap out of that shit in minutes now. The exception is when my wife get's foul. When I feel like her support isn't there my depression is quick to flood over me--don't get me wrong, if she ditched me I'd get over it, but there would be an adjustment period for sure (unlike when I was a numb part of my family of origin, I am quite attached to both her and my girls).

Thanks for the encouragement, Being. What you sugggested is usually exactly what that sort of time calls for. Have a nice day. Or better yet have a NICE day.

Bud Marley, welcome. I hope you are right though I have my doubts. Idealistically our society is already here but there are an awful lot of entities that make a fortune through this corrupt drug war.

Who know though, our new drug Czar stated that the "drug war" needed to be rethought and he has indicated a non crime-and-punishment approach may be in order. Unlike the other day I guess that has me feeling a bit optimistic, actually. Anyway, welcome to yahooka, Bud.
