imo, ppl who abuse the no thanks bttn would most likely be the posters you would ignore. but, ya'll are right, it could be abused, and could cause clusterfucks. but, those posters who would abuse the system would have only themselves to blame.

also, if ppl remember, post counts were taken away a year or two ago, and it was thought that if they returned, they would be abused again, which wasnt the case. same with the thanks system. so, idk if it would necessarily be abused and cause clusterfucks. i think as a community, we could handle it.

one other thing, the websites that offer these +/- karma systems also have an option for users to opt out of the system alltogether. so, that could also be considered. but, it's whatever.

This probably won't be too popular, but could we possibly merge/delete the lesser used forums?

examples:

Videos
Mellow Stoners merge into General Discussion [a better forum name wouldn't hurt either]
The best of the best/Sacred Scrolls

Also is it possible to consolidate/delete some of the stickies? Do we really need roll call, good morning/night, bumped posts threads, etc, stickied?

Since the growfaq is still quasi-broken, i think a new more modernized one [like embedded videos] would be a great project for members/admins/mods alike.

I know the growfaq is being worked on...or it's on the list...being worked out. Excellent idea on the moderizing it.

We needed someone to help move the community to a new level. I don't have the skills nor really the time to do that. I was lucky to find RE and we worked out an agreement. Much of what has been done is behind the scenes scenes such as upgrading, fixing errors, and the working on the lost threads forum. There are other changes in store as well.

I am grateful that he is able to help us with that.
