My name is Fernando and I live in Upstate New York. I have been found to have Cadasil which is a disease of the brain. It slowly eats the small veins in my brain ultimately causing a complete breakdown of functions. I could not walk for 5 months as I had just come back from Warring in Afghanistan. My sergeant saw how I was dealing with headaches and nothing was making it better.

I was sent back home to the U.S where I underwent many exams. My brain specialist told me there was no medicine for me or my disease. I have been using a vaporizer and it has truthfully got me out of the wheelchair, I can do almost everything I could do before and the headaches are gone. So I have to say I am a pro marijuana user. We need to make it legal here as I get a bit afraid they may come and take all my Plants and would not know what to do except to go out and buy more. I hope I can be an addition to your group and wish the best of health to all of you.

I send Praise and Thanks to my brain Specialist for prescribing medical marijuana to me. He at this time in my life is a HERO.

do you know if Cannabis is helping slow the progression or anything like that?

According to the specialist he stated once I started it would help take away the attacks I get or shall I say Mini-Strokes I get. So far been on this for 6 months and not one attack. I am so happy. It actually protects the brain and according to him and what I have read it rebuilds the brain introducing new Brain cells. We have to make this legal. We have to. My Daughter who is 10 now will also have this disease when she goes into her 30's and this is the only medicine that works.
