Lurker that finally joined

Hello all! I have used this site for many helpful hints, and decided to finally join and share any knowledge I may have. I am in the law field, can't get much into it, you know how that is. I guess it is more like the lawless field, if you ask me, but it pays the bills.

I am a young lady, living in FL for the time being. I have quite a few pets, typically prefer my birds over people. They can be put back into their cages when they are bugging me and they never ask for anything but some nuts or a cracker...ha. I like to just chill in my spare time, enjoy the weather, and just being alive. I have chronic nerve pain and have found nothing better for it than smoking. Hoping it will become legal here sometime, but FL will be the very last state to legalize it. Anyhoo, nice to be able to finally post!

ummmmm

you're not a cop right?

I mean if you are I guess you can still chill, and you don't really have to tell us anyway, but I mean, comon, 'law related' 'can't get into it'? That kinda puts me ill at ease. I guess mebbe some cops I know smoke and are actually chill people

I dunno where I'm going with this anymore.

Hello

I've found that cannabis does not relieve my chronic lower back pain.

but

for at least 20 years it's made it bearable.

welcome.

I'm assuming you're "law field" occupation does not include the investigation of illegal use of narcotics ?

Nope, nothing like that. I am safe, I swear! I am never going to live down my poor choice of a screen name, huh? Not a cop, investigator, or anything like that. Trust me, we have laws here...I only had to spend 4 years of grad school to learn them.

lawgirl esq? what kind of attorney are you? what kinda firm drug tests you? I thought one of the fringe benefits of being a lawyer in florida was unlimited access to prescription medications.

The prescription medication is my problem. I occasionally need opiates from my pain doctor for my nerve pain. He can do random UA's and if he finds THC, I am sure that will be the last time I can see him. He is one of the rare doctors that does the surgery I need every 6 months for my pain, so I really want to keep him as a doc. So, I have resorted to finding ways to not have to stress so much about that ;-)

there's a legitimate pain clinic in florida?

that sucks the only doc who does the surgery tests too

are you sure? call up your healthcare provider and ask.

do you really need surgery every 6 months? that's fucking crazy. I'm sure you can go to other pain clinics and get all the meds you want though, saw an episode of vanguard about it. Florida prescribes over 80% of all the oxycodone prescribed in America.

It is not the surgery itself that is THAT hard to find someone to do, but the odd location. They usually do it for the back, or head for migraines, but rarely other places. I have nerve pain in my breast (yikes!) This doctor is young and is more open minded, so he does it for me. Other doctors (I have seen 30+ pain doctors and neurosurgeons) tell me that I just will have to deal with the pain. I am young, and cannot imagine dealing with it my entire life. With the surgery I can manage on a very low dose of meds, sometimes even without them. Without the surgery I have to be so drugged up that I can barely do my job. It is a shity situation with seemingly no easy answer.

Because of all the drug addicts, the decent pain clinics are scared to treat people from out of the immediate area. All the ones around the immediate area will not help me. I don't want to pay cash for my meds at a shady place, I really need a doctor that cares and knows their shit.

Only if you're from Ohio and buy in bulk.

Many members have discovered the hard way, that the only way to access what laws do exist in their areas (to read the actual law) is to become a lawyer.

welcome again.

and may the legal questions begin
