futurama moments

...when leelas trying to think of what to ask the 'what-if' machine, and then fry says,

'yea, be more impulsive, like this!'

and then he dumps cereal and then milk on top of his head and starts eating it.

then leela says,

'i can be really impulsive, it just takes me awhile.'

and fry is cutting up bananas on the cereal on his head.

ah, thats great.

carry on.

Futurama is a good try but generally a disappointment.
On some drugs they're funny too tho...

Futurama exemplifies the 'one liner'...

Some of my favourites from Fry...
'I can't wait until I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff.'
'It's like that drug trip in that movie I saw when I was on that drug trip.'
'People said I was dumb, but I proved them.'

and Bender....
'Oh wait, you're serious. Let me laugh even harder.'
'Comedy's a dead art form. Now tragedy, that's funny.'

Futurama has a subtle humor that once you tap into, is hilarious again and again...

Everyone who doesn't get it thinks the show isn't that great.

I think it's terribly underrated!

i love that entire episode where fry goes to that planet with the water-people on it.. so many great lines and gags..

like when fry's walking across the desert and aching for the sun to go down, and when it finally does, 2 more huge suns start to rise from the other horizon..

or when fry and leela are standing in the hall of assasinated emperor's and the picture frame slides back and somebody with a straw tries to drink frys arm..

or frys classic analogy, "It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?"

classic show

more futurama quotes:

FRY: Hey, you have no right to criticize the twentieth century! We gave the world the light bulb, the steam boat and the cotton gin.
LEELA: Those things are all from the nineteenth century.
FRY: Yeah, well, they probably just copied us.

BENDER (dreaming): Kill all the humans, kill all the humans, must kill all the humans.
FRY: Bender, wake up.
BENDER: I was having the most wonderful dream. I think you were in it.

(after getting kicked out of a theme park)
BENDER: Forget your stupid theme park! I'm gonna make my own! With hookers! And blackjack! In fact, forget the theme park!

LEELA: Didn't you have ads in the twentieth century?
FRY: Well, sure, but not in our dreams. Only on TV and radio... and in magazines... and movies, and at ballgames, and on buses, and milk cartons, and T-shirts, and bananas, and written in the sky. But not in dreams, no sirree.

Futurama is great, funny basic skits and lines but often with a profound, feel good and funny greater message.

Too bad they dont make more...

haha, nice quotes everyone. yea, futurama is the shit. ive heard rumors they are going to start making new episodes, but im not too sure.

i love it when the professor turns bender into a human, and he starts going crazy with shit in the bar. stuffing his mouth with nachos, smoking a cigar, drinking, and dancing at the same time...

Amy: Bender, part of being human is having self-control.
Bender: Oh my God! I bet I could eat nachos and go to the bathroom at the same time!

well said.

IMO its one of the best cartoons ever made...and they are bringing it back in 2009!!!! after CN looses the rights to show it in 2008 , comedy central gets to show it and then four new 1 hour long episodes are gonna be aired in 2009. i cant fuckin wait for that. i mean ive been waiting ever since i got into futurama about 4 or 5 years ago.

While eating at Elzar's kitchen:

Hermes: It's the biggest Jamaican platter I've ever seen! Jerk chicken, jerk beef, jerk pork. Is there any meat this man can't jerk?

New episodes are in production.......And also (probably going to get flamed to high hell) Futurama is better than Family Guy and in its current state Simpsons

Fry: Where's your business plan?

Professor Farnsworth: Business plan? Oh, yes. I keep it right here, next to my heart.

*opens drawer with heart in it*

Professor: Here you go.

Fry: Wait, this isn't a business plan. It's an escape plan!

Professor: *running away* So long suckers!!

i won't flame you, because i think it's close, but Futurama is not better than Family Guy. this shouldn't turn into an arguement topic either. but i do agree with the Simpsons statement. i also feel that, like Family Guy, the new episodes will quite possibly kill the show. Futurama had a great run, reruns are still fun to watch, and i love it. but the story was the same with Family Guy. the new episodes just weren't up to par, and it kinda ruined it.
