Everyone who doesn't get it thinks the show isn't that great.

i love that entire episode where fry goes to that planet with the water-people on it.. so many great lines and gags..

like when fry's walking across the desert and aching for the sun to go down, and when it finally does, 2 more huge suns start to rise from the other horizon..

or when fry and leela are standing in the hall of assasinated emperor's and the picture frame slides back and somebody with a straw tries to drink frys arm..

or frys classic analogy, "It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?"

i love it when the professor turns bender into a human, and he starts going crazy with shit in the bar. stuffing his mouth with nachos, smoking a cigar, drinking, and dancing at the same time...

IMO its one of the best cartoons ever made...and they are bringing it back in 2009!!!! after CN looses the rights to show it in 2008 , comedy central gets to show it and then four new 1 hour long episodes are gonna be aired in 2009. i cant fuckin wait for that. i mean ive been waiting ever since i got into futurama about 4 or 5 years ago.

i won't flame you, because i think it's close, but Futurama is not better than Family Guy. this shouldn't turn into an arguement topic either. but i do agree with the Simpsons statement. i also feel that, like Family Guy, the new episodes will quite possibly kill the show. Futurama had a great run, reruns are still fun to watch, and i love it. but the story was the same with Family Guy. the new episodes just weren't up to par, and it kinda ruined it.
