![]() They've been working together since the late 90's... The show(s) freaks and geeks and undeclared were a jumping off point for almost all the actors in, 40 yr old virgin, knocked up, superbad, pineapple express, grandmas boy, etc...Even Will Ferrel and Adam Sandler made cameos... Peep those shows if you like the humor of any of those movies...

jesus i dont know what all the hate is about this. movie looks funny as fuck. we do smoke weed around here dont we? also, another feature length film with pot in it with big name actors doesnt hurt. but in saying that, how high fucking sucked. cant expect that much out of method mans acting though..

How High was good. Although its comedic value was lacking in some areas, it did succeed in one area: a somewhat decent portrayal of cannabis users, at least within the context of a film. More often than not, cinema will portray stoners as incompetent, mindless buffoons, which tends to offend me greatly. Even in Half Baked, as good as it was, Thurgood was only able to win back Mary Jane at the end by giving up smoking. In my opinion, this is Hollywood's way of subtly saying "if you smoke weed, you will only get so far in life." Thurgood's smoking was treated as a drug addiction, something that must be overcome to pursue his relationship. Wouldn't it have been more "stoner friendly" to let the man have his pussy along with his pot? Perhaps he could have converted her, with a nice vaporizing scene at the end? I am happy to lay back and see NASCAR fans, preppie high school girls, old people, or redneck hillbillies stereotyped for for a laugh, but when a film tries to be funny just by casting stoners in a negative light, I will lose interest quickly.
Pineapple Express looks promising. Their wanting it to function as an "actual movie" outside of the weed usage gives me a bit of pause, as there are tens of thousands of other movies that serve that purpose. I understand that financial pressures cause them to pander to the masses, but I find it unfortunate nonetheless.

you remind me of one of those little highschool bitches that thinks everything that has to do with weed has to be cool. You know because like smoking tons of beasters like yourself is the cool thing to do nowadays

they are more about high school life with topics such as getting laid and getting drunk-even though they do have stereotypical pothead characters in them. All in all "stoner" movies tend to be a gross exaggeration of a person that smokes bud, you have to remember that there are all kinds of us out there-not just slackers and shit Good Day Everyone

this movie is gonna be hilarious one way or another. Just some of the things seth rogens says is exactly how me and my friends act at times. like "this is good weed" i think everytime i hit a bowl of new shit i say that lol. And "GRAB THE WEED!" thats the first thing a pot head says when they are worried about police or parents or someone finding them.

any good weed movie has to include
-the actual smoking of the weed (preferably in a car or large basement that is just completely hotboxed) -corny jokes that make you laugh your ass off that would only make you chuckle if not high -some situation in which someone (parents/cops/narcs) almost catches the characters with good weed... but they just barely hide the weed in time -the showing of badass pipes/bongs/fat blunts/conular <--(long o sound) cones thats all i can think of to occupy my attention for 2 hours
