Good Wii Games

Does anybody know any? My gf and myself inherited a Wii this last Christamas, but really can't find any fun games for it besides the Wii Sports that it came with. I've rented a couple, but they really sucked, and it seemed like the Wii remote wasn't really even being used innovatively, just being used like a regular controller. I like the Wii Bowling and stuff on the Sports disc, because you actually get to use the remote in different ways, but the other games I rented ( I think one of them was Mario Party 8 or someshit) just used the controller like a regular Nintendo controller.
Any good titles?

Ive owned the wii since released.

I fucked around with zelda but it was boring, traded it to a friend for super mario galaxy... havent even played it yet and that was like 9 months ago.

Oh, i did get resident evil 4 which was kinda cool, played a bit of that, plus it was 20 beans at walmart.

Theres also a cheap resident evil shooter game out there, my friend has it and it is pretty damn awesome. It's like Re1 where you can play 2player and just go on a shooting spree.

the metroid game was pretty dope, if only for the novelty of using the wiimote to aim.

most wii games fall into one of 2 categories: games that are unplayable because of shitty wiimote controls or games that allow you to use more familiar input methods.

Word on the street is that Nintendo will soon be releasing a new console which is technologically on par with 360-ps3, or perhaps superior, and the wii was more of a demo type market test machine.

It did pretty well, considering.

I still wanna cop wii fitness.

super mario galaxy
mario kart
smash brothers
zelda
super strikers charged
rayman raving rabbits
links crossbow training

i would assume the mario party game is at least decent. Pretty much all the classic Nintendo series can be counted on to be "decent -> great" in my experience. I have heard that the godfather game is pretty cool, you can at least use the wiimote to slap people around haha. Personally i haven't really played my wii in a long time so theres probably new cool games out.

depends on the type of games you like.

mario galaxy is AWESOME if you like platformers.
Zelda is always a win.

Smash brothers is fun if you like fighters.

Personally, my favorite games are Mariokart, Mario Galaxy, Guitar Hero, and I actually always get a kick out of playing wiisports/wiiplay

Thanks for the suggestions
What's this about playing without the wii remote? What would you use besides that, I guess I'm just ignorant.
