Ok, new frustration.


I'm starting to get furious at how shitty shows, channels, and cable providers are HORRIBLE and evening out sound levels.

One channel i have to have on '5' for volume, the next at '32'.

Then on each individual channel, the levels are horrible, as ALL commercials are 5 times louder than the actual program.

On top of that - watch The Office on Hulu, the intro almost blew out my speakers because they can't figure out how to make the actual show and intro song the same level.


Is the industry just not hiring sound engineers (or whatever you call it)?

they are hiring engineers, except they work for the darkside. We pay more attention to their shitty commericals and product placement when the volume suddenly gets loud as fuck for no reason

^no, no we don't. they just assume such ridiculous bs. one of the many reasons why I haven't subscribed to cable for about 2 years now. fuck tv.

ive started not watching any live tv- all of of dvr because i hate the sound problem, and fast forwarding through commercials helps a shitload, especially at night when people are fucking sleeping.

thats your concious decision to not pay attention tho. you gotta admit most people arent so resistant to those things and loud noises work for their purposes here lol. look at mcdonalds sales and superbowl ad prices theres a reason its worth it to pay that much.
