anyone else see the 20 minute dev walkthrough of this game? It looks absolutely fantastic! Assuming it works as well as it seems to I cannot wait for it!

I mean, I'm a star trek guy not a star wars one, but the preview totally blew me away. I haven't gotten that giddy over an MMO since the first preview of WoW way back when.

yeah, i remember that from E3, i think i posted some vids of KOTOR in the e3 thread (that gotturned into a fanboy war), but this and Diablo 3 are really the only things I'm anticipating at this time

cause i was just surfing to see if a release date was set (spring 11, and beta sign ups started) but it looks pretty sick... but like any good MMO that has some actual substance to make it a worthwhile venture, it needs one thing- ROLE PLAY PLAYER VS PLAYER SERVERS!

its god damn star wars- jedi vs sith, republic vs empire and if i cant be apart of a growing, player affected story line, where there are heroes and villians, WHO ARE PLAYERS, not mindless quest tracks that dont change a fucking thing, then i dont want anything to do with it.

i want it to be all that, though, player driven role played stories. im not saying thats all there should be but there better fucking be a RPPVP server, hardcore rp rules, world pvp, loot all, and why the hell not, PERMA DEATH!

i want there to be character in this game, to be excitement, fear, and story. i want to become a famous hero/villain with an arch nemesis, where we battle wherever we can. i want the players to have a drive to create something awesome together, not just mindless pve grinds and raids.

i want the focus on interaction and the story it causes.

but yeah thats my two cents- the graphics, combat, and space combat looks great. i wish there were few more classes(i did notice quite a few prestige classes though), or professions, and item creation (havent actually looked into it to see if there is yet, but im bout to).

so after more searching around, ive found that no perma death, there will be crafting, emotes, and that alot of quests and there will be world pvp and battlegrounds.

I've known about this game for awhile, but never got around to checking out anything about it until a few days ago. It does look pretty sweet. Like JcP, I'm more of a Star Trek guy (yes I play Star Trek Online), but I've never had a probelm with Star Wars, and while I enjoy Star Trek Online in the very little amount of time I get to actually play, some aspects of the game just don't do it for me, and it's looking like SWTOR will fill in those gaps. Can't wait until release, and being chosen for beta would be even sweeter!

KOTAR 1 was amazing. KOTAR 2 wasnt done by the same dudes.

biowares been making the best single player RPGs on PC for awhile now, im confident they can pull off this game

it probably wont 'kill wow' but itll be big and itll be around for awhile makin money.

im def gonna try it cuz im an mmo junkie (sad mmo junkie havnt had a proper fix in years)
