I got a free upgrade when I got my new desktop, so that's cool. But I don't see the big deal with Vista.
I've never really had a problem with Vista until my dad's friend when in the boot menu and started fucking with stuff he didn't understand. Plus I don't know shit about computers, so ignorance is bliss. Lol

Well Bearsy the big problem with Vist was that the world wasn't ready for it: To run smooth it needed at least 2 gb or RAM and a dual core processor! That was innaceptable.
More then that, many programs that worked on XP didn't work on Vista! Compatibiltiy issues and that was simply ANNYOING! Windows 7 has solved all those problems and it seems that the world is prepared for it. It is kind of a "NEW XP". I for one am quite ahppy with it compared to Vista and the old XP. XP is going to retire bit by bit sicne Windows 7 is out!

as long as there aren't stupid annoying "warnings" every five seconds and patches every couple days I'm sure I'll be happy enough.
I really do despise the constant need for "fixing" MS OS'es. If macs were cheaper and had more support from gaming companies I would switch to Macs so fucking fast, lol. but alas.

I trash talked Vista till I was blue in the face and then when I made the switch, I ate every bitter word. Never had a better running Windows system. I'm damn excited to switch to 7, but I will be waiting a bit.

Thats neat Microsoft is doing that.
I am still on Windows XP. Probably stay here until I am forced to change. I have used 95,98,millennium,200 0 and XP but I always seem to stay until the last minute. I build my own computers, love to constantly up grade with new parts from Newegg but I just hate to move to a new OS until I have to. Dont know why. Invite me to your party.

It's sad that Window users get excited over an OS that may finally be able to run properly after being burned so many times. How much for this "awesome" OS? I just paid $30 to upgrade from OS 10.5 to 10.6. The upgrade actally made my computer much faster even, feels like a new machine running on a 64-bit OS.
Have fun with 7! lol

Btw, unlike M$, Apple does not require registration to run. Nor does it implement install restrictions - they rely on the honor system. So you can buy one copy and install it on as many Macs as you like, if you wish too. Just an example of how different these two company's are.
