Thumbs down dont ever buy a wii

cuz the graphics suck balls. they claim it's HD but it's not it's only capable of 480p which doesnt look much better than a regular tv.

i finally broke down and got an HDTV then found out i had to buy a component cable too which was $25. got it all hooked up and was like...this fucking sucks!! so yea im pissed but it's all good cuz the ol' lady's gettin me a ps3 for xmas.

and besides the wii has faggy games most are for kids and shit.

but if you insist on buying the gay nintendo wii save some money and hook it to a regular tv or you will be disappointed.

the ps3 is in a league of it's own..my cousin has a ps3 and we've been playing about 3 nights a week for 2 years now and it blows the wii away...it's like comparing an atari to a ps2. the wii is even worse than the 360.
so if youre looking for a console that will stand the test of time with awesome graphics get the ps3.

rant is over. i now feel better.

uhhh...nintendo? it tells you right in the "Wii Operations Manuel" page 46.

Your television must be an HDTV to view 480p output.
by them using the word "output" it would be safe to assume the wii displays in HD, which is a lie.

the wii's graphics look better on a regular tv with a composite cable than they do on an hdtv with a component cable.

by them using the word "480p" it would be safe to assume the wii displays in SD, which is almost the truth

No, that would suggest it has an output. Not specifying the resolution of said output.

PS3 is the future. It networks to your computer so you can stream HD movies from large collections wthin such conected HD
'sexternal HDs. Plus thier onsite is free, unlike xbox. Plus, the price was recently reduced by a $100. Finally tempting, especially since it has Blueray.

yes. but do get a nice big tv. i had my ps3 for 4 months on a 15" pos 480p. Then i got the 32" 720p.. not top of the line but the sheer graphical difference made a HUUUUUUGE difference in the whole immersion factor.

I have all three systems, the PS3 wins hands down. I play on it more, use it more than the other two combined. Surfing the net with it is nice especially if you have a large flat screen. My only complaints are with the internet browser which is complete shit and filled with bugs - often causing the whole system to freeze.

Oh, and the Blu-ray player is sweet candy for the eyes.

A little contradictory, no?

Having the net on your tv is a nice option and comes in handy sometimes. Fortunately, the browser doesn't freeze as much as it used to, unless you're just going crazy with the controller and pushing random buttons.

Yeah they've fixed up the internet browser a lot. Since the latest update in the firmware I haven't had it crash a single time so far
