So I noticed there's going to be a movie about 2012 out this year, it kind of irked me because I think this shit is kind of serious and not something to make a movie about, I dunno.. it just doesnt seem right to me that they made a movie about it. its like theyre making fun almost..

what keep thinking is if something big did happen, but it didnt destroy human kind..or even if nothing hapenned.. how silly will this movie make us look from a historical perspective?

ive seen trailers and ads for this movie since 2008.

really stupid, and yes, i think it will flop, but at first, will prob. bring in big $ cause ppl will line up to see it, then exit the movie half-way through.

also, danny glover is in it. imo, he's gettin to old for this shit.

I'll go see it. I like scifi futuristic stuff, fiction doesn't bother me an sometimes there's an insightful nugget or two.

the mayans didnt predict the end of anything really, thats a big misunderstanding

I go to most huge movies like this opening night or midnight showings if possible. I dont go for the story...I go to see movies like this because I'm fascinated by what imagination and CGI wizardry can produce nowadays. If the subject matter is vaguely interesting (such as this) to me, all the better.
It's more the experience of going than the actual movie I enjoy. Anyway, yea I'm going to see this on the IMAX opening night if I can get tickets! woo woo!

I'll get an afternoon buzz and catch the cheaper mid-day show. Although I find end of the world stuff fasinating this movie will just be for fun.
