Why cant there be a little more transepency in such offers? i suppose because then they wouldn't appeal to as many people.

I would NOT have brought an Acer if i had known, i would most definately have chosen a manufacture who is offering the free upgrades,

Which makes me wonder why those who are offering free shipping did not advertise that fact?

Even for $20 i personally would grab the legit upgrade, that's just me though.

Yeah but so was the case with Vista and they all stopped working or had the activation cancelled sooner or later.
I bought a new laptop 3 months ago at Aldi and with it came a 19.95€ upgrade for 7, I'd rather pay 20 bucks for a legal copy then have a headache a year after with not being able to receive updates and whatnot.
