Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2: 3.5/4 stars

Based on the 1st watch, I enjoyed the original more (I think I gave it 4/4) - though a large part of that was the novelty of the characters and experience. I think the 2nd might be the better movie.. who cares they are both good movies and lots of fun

did anyone else feel like the plot of guardians was very similar to that futurama episode where lelia finds that planet with the al bundy cyclops?

guardians was so dope, so glad i took the time to go see it and didn't fucking watch a cam.

fist fight was ok, seems like the entire movie was a build up for a young girl to do a very inappropriate musical number.

The accountant was also amazing, it made me cry a bit thinking about how shitty autistic people have it, and how amazing they can be. Not very long after I saw the movie I saw a post on reddit asking what it was like to be autistic and a 30's aged woman answered and said that they spent all this time teaching her to be verbal and then neglected to give her anyone to talk to as she was not on a level with adults and most parents aren't cool with their daughters chilling with a 30's aged autistic woman. It made me pretty sad having just saw the movie.

I get super annoyed with the volume of Marvel movies that come out so I never want to see them in theatre but whenever I do watch one I really enjoy them. I supposedly have enough points for a free movie maybe I will use it for Guardians. I have to be one of the few people who hated the accountant, couldn't even finish it.

I watched Green is Gold on Netflix for a movie I've never heard of that had a potential to be horrible it was pretty good. American Honey was pretty good too.

Logan - really enjoyed it.

Ghost in the shell - Complete utter let down. Took one of the best futuristic storylines out there, and dumbed it down brutally. Really a damn shame.

Kong Island - meh. felt super super rushed.

Logan was super great up until they got to the treehouse clubhouse of kid mutants. From that point on it felt hammy.. the whole chase scene in the woods.. the tone really felt like one of those made-for-teens movies. I mean a couple of the kids should have got they faces blown off to make it feel like the same movie. Which is why Logan gets 3/4 stars because it was pretty much perfect for 3/4 of the movie.

Back to the Future : 3.5/4 stars
can you believe it was the 1st time I watched it?

Split - pretty good. Not amazing but cool enough. I like that main actor james mcavoy or whatever his nane is.

ALSO it teased a sequel to the movie Unbreakable with bruce willis and samuel l jackson at the end, which im pretty stoked for as i always thought that movie was 10/10 awesome. Highly recommend unbreakable if you havent seen it.

Alien Covenant: 2.5/4 stars

Should've called it, Alien to Tension, because I felt so little of it unfortunately. There were a few amazing gore shots though -

john wick 2 was...not good.

I don't know what they did to it, or maybe it was the timeline they presented, but the whole thing turned me off, felt like just a big set up for 3. Hate when they do that.

A Dog's Purpose

I have a real soft spot for dogs. Always have. Movie just made me cry a lot, and constantly worry about how the dog was going to die next. Not necessarily a great movie, but it touched me very deeply.

Trainspotting 2

Pretty much the perfect sequel to the first movie. Really well done. Possibly better than the first, and the first is one of my favorite movies.

Good movie tho, , , , sad.

This is Spinal Tap - 11/10

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."
